Yes, it wouldn't be the first time. This apparently happened last August, but he blurted out classified information to a group of visiting Russian officials earlier.

The argument given is that the president has the power to declassify whatever he wants. So, by tweeting, he is declassifying that information.

Now, the more pressing question is whether it is wise to declassify that information.

I'm not sure. He said we had "similar, though more advanced, technology." That can mean just about anything, I suppose. As far as I remember from the Cold War rhetoric, it was common knowledge that US missile technology was more advanced than the Soviets. That's the main reason why the US was said to have "won" the Cold War, because the Soviets simply couldn't keep up with us.

No as per the article a few know about it (Pluto) and are talking about it publicly to a newspaper. More so it is public knowledge that the US has a far more developed and reliable cruise missile system than Russia.

The article is filling in the gaps without evidence thus is speculating. The article is just a TDS op-ed.

suffering from TDS.....Trump was lying about our superiority with

The military has stealth bombers and fighters that are the most advanced in the world.
The Virginia class fast attack submarines are far beyond the capabilities of any other country's submarines.
The US has projectiles that can detect the presence of a target and detonate.
A US drone had, within a 95% possibility, Osama bin Laden in it sights and was denied permission to shoot for political reasons.
The US military is having a difficult time getting the required number of new personnel due to poor physical shape of U.S. youth.
