Yet, today Trump is, effectively, an un-indicted co-conspirator.

Do you care to share the name of the dope you are into? So, you like his jokes about having your ***** grabbed? You like him depriving dissenters of their constitutional rights at his assemblies?

You need, rather badly, to work on your reading comprehension and logical argumentation skills, I hate to see fellow progressives revealing a lack of understanding when it comes to irony.

What does Michael Cohen’s plea deal mean for Trump? I asked 13 legal experts.

Paul Butler, law professor, Georgetown University
There are two ways that convicted felons Paul Manafort and Michael Cohen avoid spending many years in one of those wretched places. One is to be pardoned by the president of the United States. The second is to deliver up Donald Trump to Special Counsel Robert Mueller.

Trump said, after the Manafort and Cohen convictions, that he “feels badly” for both. Manafort’s pardon seems virtually a done deal. But Michael Cohen has already implicated Trump as his co-conspirator to violate federal campaign financing laws. Providing more evidence to Mueller would be any lawyer’s recommendation to Cohen, to reduce his time in the pen.

But even if Trump pardons Cohen, it would have the same effect as immunizing him, meaning Cohen could be forced to testify about everything Trump has ever done. The president has no good options — Tuesday August 21 marks the beginning of the end of Donald Trump’s presidency, and possibly his freedom.

There are multiple federal and state investigations going on. Not 1 investigation. It would help if Donald wasn't acting guilty from the beginning.

Give the FBI time to finish their investigation, the investigation hasn't been going on long compared to ones in recent memory. Not even close.

I don't need to read a thing. It is shoved in my face every single day. I live in America and am not a Democrat, or Progressive. Your support of Trump, in spite of what is happening right now defies the laws of decency.

Unless you guys have history I don’t know about, the OP does not indicate support of Trump.

The thread title is Trump, once again, claiming they got nothing on him. The OP is stating that Trump is lying since he’s been fingered as an unindicted co-conspirator. I may not be the brightest, but I don’t see how that’s good for Trump.

All well and good, except I do not support Trump; and your failure to grasp the obvious, even once it is clarified, is appalling.

Just imagine all of the jobs Trump has created for legal analysts....

It all depends on Congress. Who knows which way the wind will blow there.

    On a different note.
Can someone explain why George W Bush is not worse than Trump by dragging US in an illegal war after lying about Iraq's WMD-s , and also condoning torture? Isn't he also not responsible for not regulating the financial markets that led to 2008 financial meltdown?

Trump is shady, immoral and incompetent. But objectively speaking Bush would be the worst one in terms of damage caused to US and the world. Would that be correct?

A year and a half into the Bush II administration things were looking just fine economically. And while the Afghanistan invasion looked messy, the real disasters were still to come.

You can't really compare the two until Trump leaves office.

I watched the 9/11 "attack" live on TV. In those days, they just let the cameras roll, with no editing.

I can see some reason for the attack on Afghanistan. But think the attack on Iraq was without justification. Bush is known to have lied to the congress 26 times. It is plain that they wanted the Oil in Basra and northern Iraq.

It was not ALL the Muslims who attacked but twenty crazed Wahhabi from Saudi Arabia. It would have made more sense to attack Saudi Arabia than Iraq. The wars just made the west more enemies and there will be trouble over that.

Bush lied 27 times while President, Trump lies 27 times every three days.

It's now clear and just has to run its course, the whole fam damly will be in jail (or testifying against Trump) within a year. The A.J. of New York State is suing Trump Foundation (and its officers, e.g., the wife and the kids). The data from that suit has been passed to the I.R.S. and D.O.J. This will, in the end, result in a civil judgement against Trump and criminal complaints against the rest of the family, it really warrants a RICO Investigation (The RICO Act focuses specifically on racketeering and allows the leaders of a syndicate, that's Trump, to be tried for the crimes they ordered others to do or assisted them in doing, closing a perceived loophole that allowed a person who instructed someone else to, for example, murder, to be exempt from the trial because they did not actually commit the crime personally).

Most importantly this will trigger an audit of his taxes and that be to Trump what the tapes were to Nixon.

Collusion with the Russians is just icing on the cake ... he's toast even without it.

Don’t talk about the Op like that. JK. Seriously though how many crooks can you surround yourself with and still call yourself innocent? Don’t worry it’s rhetorical, I know, innocent until you have money to prove otherwise etc.
