First the setup . There are potentials to use monoclonal antibodies in Alzheimer treatments. This is the story of one that has advanced to human testing:

    From the article:

But when this drug goes wrong it can go wrong in a big way:

    Science | AAAS

With only moderate improvements and a possible time bomb waiting to go off in many patients it appears that this drug will not be approved.

There do not appear to be any.

To support that claim one needs actual medical evidence and I doubt if it exists.

There are drugs approved in the u.S. that have many serious side effects. Doctors do not usually tell their patients what those side effects are.

Where did I get that idea? lol, you're kidding aren't you? But anyway, just for information, even watching commercials on the TV, many drug ads say that death is a possibility for taking the "medicine." Yup. Well of course, perhaps evolution is involved also, you think? OK, getting back to the real stuff, notice the following? 5 Drugs Americans Take That Are Banned In Other Countries | Newsmax.com

P.S. @Subduction Zone and yes, gorillas and bonobos don't have laboratories that manufacture and "test" drugs. Do they?

Now that you mention it, humans don't usually eat monkey and bonobos. Or gorillas. never thought of that. wonder why, maybe you have the answer? I'm not particularly interested in trying it out though.

Except it's true. That little difference of DNA makes so much difference doesn't it? Do bonobos and gorillas get Alzheimer's? They just haven't evolved enough, if they do, to build laboratories and experiment with viruses and brains, I guess, to try to ward off Alzheimer's.

And it is a "So what?" argument. It does not matter if it is true or false.

Once again, @Subduction Zone ok, I see that monkey-eating is popular in certain areas. "Good source of protein." I won't be eating monkeys for a looong while. No matter.

Perhaps due to health reasons. Since we are so closely related any disease they have we could potentially catch.

Says you. And it's not a "so what" argument except to you and people that refuse to admit that it's a dilemma that cannot be solved by "scientific" means. Yes, many drug advertisements warn that death might happen if one takes the medicine. Oh well.
