I think he was less concerned about seeing the naked body of the same sex and more concerned that he was attracted to it.
A nice set of boobs is a nice set of boobs.
Doesn't matter what they are attached to.

Same goes with other body parts.
Penis
butt
eyes
hair
legs
... ... ...

I am comfortable with my sexuality to the point that I can admire a nice looking body part regardless of that it is attached to.

I am amazed at the, you should excuse the expression, straight answers being offered by so many to what can only be described as one of the more inane questions to come down the pike. What if the OP had indicated that the cousin had revealed the bottom half of the picture and it had turned out that it was a mermaid or a centaur. What if the OP now worried that he was momentarily a slave to beastiality and/or whatever it is called when one wants to be sexually active with a fish?

The bog mindles!

Because his stated in the OP reaction strongly indicates that he is not the least bit attracted to men.

He is attracted to the female aspects and turned off by the male aspects.
Which indicates he is a heterosexual male.
His feelings of fear of being "temporarily" gay is a strong indication of sexual immaturity (mental).
It also strongly indicates he is rather ignorant of what being gay actually is.

Now since his OP strongly indicates he is a heterosexual male, why wouldn't the answers being offered be "straight"?

I've noticed somesuch situations turning rather gay indeed.

I suppose one could argue that these situations can be as gay, or as little gay, as we want them to be, from not being gay at all, to being moderately gay, all the way to being extremely gay, or really anything in between.
Calling a situation gay is a height of insecure masculinity. Like guys who call Greco-Roman wrestling gay. I just assume those guys know it's not gay, they just don't want to get bent and twisted in ways they didn't know they could.
A guy seeing another guy and being sexually turned on, that is gay. It's a part of what even defines being gay. But it's also bi-erasure to focus on inherently attaching it to being gay, and not actually gay, or anything at all, just to see a naked body.
An extreme example being when a child is born. There aren't that many who would look upon the newborn and naked child and think of seeing the child in terms that relate to sexuality.

My cousin showed me a nude picture he found on the net of a very pretty lady from the waist up. He asked if I thought she was attractive and I said yes. He then scrolled down and there was a dong. He laughed at me as I quickly left.
Is it still sinful even if I was tricked into being temporarily/unknowingly gay?

I don't see looking at nice and nude male figures to be gay.

Looking at nude male figures and getting an erection and a desire for said men, is gay though.

So you're probably fine.

Reminds me of a memory with my oldest son's father.

He was visiting me at my home(we had been broken up for awhile, but were still friendly). I had a picture of twins(men) that I found quite attractive for a background on my computer. One of the two dressed a bit on the goth side. My ex was looking at the picture and remarked "wow! She's really hot!" And I paused and said "...that guy's name is Bill." He said "oh" and got quiet, then moving on to another subject.

Out of nowhere, he urgently said "will you change your background? I find him attractive and that's making me very uncomfortable." I did as requested... found a picture of him topless to put up. I think he went home at that point(probably for a cold shower).

I let his then girlfriend know that, if he was ever getting obnoxious and she wanted to knock him down a peg, to find a picture of that man and comment about how good looking he is. She did so, and was just thrilled at how quickly he shut up.

There's an entire internet subculture dedicated to the meme of 'are traps gay' which, aside from being a really dumb troll thing, was about cartoons. Specifically Japanese anime. Characters who are drawn with feminine presentations but are, in the story, actually male. If you're sexually attracted to a cartoon character who reads as 'female' but is written as 'male' does that make you gay? It's the sort of inane reddit **** posting that's been going on for decades now.

First of all, you weren't tricked into being gay, even temporarily. What you saw was for all practical purposes female.

The big question was why were you looking at porn and thinking it was okay when it objectifies women (and men).

I lost it at equating gay with sinful, but got awestruck at temporarily gay.
What are people eating these days? You can't make this up.

A couple of things worth noting here;
1 Being gay is not sinful.
2. If you meant is it sinful according to the Gospel, it was sinful to look at a naked picture of a woman who is not your wife. So why ignore the gospel law about lusting after a woman you are not married to then get upset because of the gospel law about gay men?

Sounds like you are a cherry picker.

Oh man, I sweated for a second there. I thought you were gonna write "sounds like you're a cherry popp**" :)

Why would finding a trans woman attractive mean that you're "gay?"

Are you a woman?

That’s not what being gay means.

Nudity was fine with God until Adam and Eve tasted the forbidden fruit of knowledge of the Garden of Eden (having been tempted by the snake, which was cursed to not have arms or legs for his wickedness). I presume that the knowledge was carnal (sex). If I am right, Adam and Eve had embarked upon the path of procreation, and that would have over-populated Eden.

Why, then, would God put such knowledge within their reach? Why would God make men and women with compatible parts that would allow them to mate?

It seems, then, that God set up mankind to sin. Imagine that. . . God set up the conditions for mankind to have original sin. And, what kind of God would blame future generations for the actions of Adam and Eve? Aren't we all supposed to be responsible for our own actions, and not the actions of others? So, generation after generation would be doomed to hell for their original sin, unless they gave their mortal souls over to God, and worshiped God.

If you were attracted to a female body, that is not Gayness, and nothing to be ashamed of. However, we are what we put into ourselves. That is, if we watch violence on TV, it eats away at our souls, bit by bit, in ways that we don't notice, and makes us numb to the effects of violence. So, when one of Satan's minions comes along (like President W. Bush, for example), and declares war on a peaceful nation that was not involved in terrorism, and kills a million of their people (some were soldiers, while others were innocent women and children), then lies about killing them, then uses scare tactics (such as phony Orange Alerts) to scare people into accepting the killings, we no longer have feeling about killing (we're numb).

Ditto, watching porn numbs us to the will of God. We are so dazzled by sexy pictures, that we no longer heed the words of the Lord.

Your question, about looking at dirty pictures, would be banned in many religious forums, but, it is a legitimate question about a common and real religious crisis.

A real Gay might well be violating God's rules (as written in the bible), but lets remember that only God is the judge, and we must not judge. Judge not, lest ye be judged, Jesus said (Sermon on the Mount). We are not supposed to hold anti-Gay rallies. We are not supposed to write against or speak against Gays. The Gay issue is supposed to be entirely in God's hands.

Should we ban violence on TV? No, free speech is fine, but it should be a personal choice to not pollute our souls and psyches with smut and violence.

Virtually every TV channel that you turn on is about some murder mystery, and some gun is firing, or some knife is plunging on every channel that we turn on. It is a cruel and ugly world, but it is within our power to make our version of it sanitized and nice. We could be like a daisy growing on a dung heap.

So lets not burn books (Reverend Savonarolla's Bonfire of the Vanities), lets not outlaw singing and dancing (Puritan), rather, we can have the things of the world and still not be corrupted by them.

Your question makes zero sense.

First of all, it is never "sinful" to be gay.
Secondly, you thought it was a woman.
Thirdly, it's not "gay" to look at a man and recognize him as being good looking. It would only be "gay" if you were sexually aroused by said man while knowing it is a man.

This is why we need to support basic 2 year college education for most people, because learning things like intro to anthropolgy is so important to understanding the nature of modesty, and how it works in terms of different cultures.

There are cultures, Clara, where the people don't wear a lick of clothing, and they do not feel ashamed. They use non-clothing communication to indicate whether they are available for sex or not.

Nudity is not the problem, it never was. The problem is how to convey when you are interested in sex, and what to do with people who do this at the wrong time, or wrong place, or with the wrong people.

No I'm not a nudist. :)

I also want to stress that there is nothing intrinsically gay about women with penises, unless we are talking specifically about gay women with penises.

Well, were you attracted to the 'lady' from the waist up, or the 'dong' from the waist down?:p
