As y'all know I'm nonbinary. But now I'm considering taking hormones to medically transition. I'll be talking to my doctor about it on the 14th. See what the requirements are. I'm nervous as hell.

Wishing the best for you. :) If you're able to get a referral for a gender specialist they have helped some of my friends with a great deal. They just have more knowledge about what different stages of transition look like and can answer lots of questions. More than a family medicine or general counselor can.

Just so y'all know im in the information gathering stage. I've read a lot online on the process of getting hormones(figuring out what the hormones do and if that's something I want was the easy part)but there's so much information on how to get on them, it's confusing. So I thought before doing more research on how to get them I'll talk to my doctor see what info they have and since I already had an appointment this month thought I'll bring it up
So far sounds like a hard, and long complicated process

Please, make sure this is something you want. Get informed. Get connected with others transitioning near you locally. This is a long and tough journey. It's often filled with self doubt. It can be emotionally overwhelming at times.

For me, the results have been worth the costs.

Major events and changes make us nervous when we sense or know we will go through them. Something that often pops up when we're nervous is a psychological force that some call 'resistance.' With resistance come excuses such as 'It's too hard' and 'I will be rejected.' Never fear, Ray, you should have supporters along the way. :)

As someone who has been through hard, long complicated processes, trust me, you can make it from start to finish if you have the will.

For me, the results have been worth the costs.

I am happy to hear that. I hope Ray finds comfort in your words.
