Notice that in verse 1, the order of the letters keeps going back and forth. If you only look at a letter when it has gone the same direction as the one before, that is called monotonicity. The letters that do it are 10,14,20,23,26 and 28. Note that when you divide by 10, these can be the square roots of 1,2,4,5,7 and 8. This works with the beit.
