First things first, gather your evidence, dont guess and pull numbers out of your hat

Thousands was mentioned in the article (see spoiler in link below) of Murray. Horrible.Where do you get this figure of "thousands" of rapes from? I find it hard to believe there can have been anything like this scale of rape taking place?
My understanding up to now has been that "hundreds" may have been the subject of grooming attempts (which is in itself fairly scandalous), but that is very different from "thousands" being actual victims of rape.

I hope you are right and it's only hundreds ... even this sounds horrible to write down.
Tommy Robinson arrested
Pernicious ballocks.Nowadays nothing is "very reliable" ... so if it is true about the gang rape, then I am glad (for the girls) that Tommy shouts it out
But I wish there was a better way to solve this ... working with the Law ... but that sometimes does not work it seems
No, I said hundreds may have been exposed to attempts at grooming. That is likely to mean tens of rapes. Not to trivialise any rape, but hysteria deliberately inflating the numbers by a factor of a hundred serves only one purpose: the demonisation of a minority group in society.Thousands was mentioned in the article (see spoiler in link below) of Murray. Yes of course, don't be ridiculous. It happens quite frequently. Here is a recent example: Mother jailed for contempt after posting family court case details on Facebook - Care Appointments
Hoax? Who apart from you is talking of a hoax?
Murray is not a reliable source is what I am saying.

Evidence??? None???ok got ya, you guess because it suites you to demonise muslins while ignoring the all the other rapes and child abuses occurring in the uk.

Thanks very much for this: exactly the sort of report I was looking for.It is an estimate of just one case. There are around a dozen cases or more that in progress or complete outside of the linked case. Not all of these cases are isolated an ethnic group from Asia but a majority are. About 4 or 5 cases are about native ethnic Brits. The report also highlights how the charges of racism by fools has cowed government officials
'1,400 children abused' in Rotherham
You happen to know the percentage that are raped by Christians? And many of them are raped by white British christians.
Why not capitalize him "God Tommy"?And your open mind is fine so long at it includes the god tommy 2%
Thanks for sharing this article. Seems Tommy was right after all. Even the numbers were correct. It is an estimate of just one case. '1,400 children abused' in Rotherham
Prof Jay said: "No-one knows the true scale of child sexual exploitation in Rotherham over the years. Our conservative estimate is that approximately 1,400 children were sexually exploited over the full inquiry period, from 1997 to 2013."
Revealing details of the inquiry's findings, Prof Jay said: "It is hard to describe the appalling nature of the abuse that child victims suffered."
The inquiry team found examples of "children who had been doused in petrol and threatened with being set alight, threatened with guns, made to witness brutally violent rapes and threatened they would be next if they told anyone".
About 4 or 5 cases are about native ethnic Brits
Five men from the town were jailed for sexual offences against girls in 2010, but the report said police "regarded many child victims with contempt".
By far the majority of perpetrators were described as 'Asian' by victims, yet throughout the entire period, councillors did not engage directly with the Pakistani-heritage community to discuss how best they could jointly address the issue. Some councillors seemed to think it was a one-off problem, which they hoped would go away. Several staff described their nervousness about identifying the ethnic origins of perpetrators for fear of being thought racist; others remembered clear direction from their managers not to do so.
In this part of the report, we have not specified the ethnicity of the victims or the perpetrators. In a large number of the historic cases in particular, most of the victims in the cases we sampled were white British children, and the majority of the perpetrators were from minority ethnic communities. They were described
generically in the files as ‘Asian males’ without precise reference being made to their ethnicity.
In two of the cases we read, fathers tracked down their daughters and tried to remove them from houses where they were being abused, only to be arrested themselves when police were called to the scene. In a small number of cases (which have already received media attention) the victims were arrested for offences such as breach of the peace or being drunk and disorderly, with no action taken against the perpetrators of rape and sexual assault against children.
Even in 2014 still afraid to tell (makes it probable that 1400 really is the tip of iceberg)Even in 2014, young people told us they would be reluctant to come forward for help because they would feel ashamed or afraid.
Many more females than males have been identified as having been sexually exploited, and there must be concern about under-reporting of exploitation of young males.
Some children are exposed to exploitation when they become looked after. And some exploited children are used by perpetrators to gain access to looked after children
Taking all these sources together, the Inquiry concluded that at least 1400 children were sexually exploited between 1997 and 2013. This is likely to be a conservative estimate of the true scale of the problem. We are unable to assess the numbers of other children who may have been at risk of exploitation, or those who were exploited but not known to any agency. This includes some who were forced to witness other children being assaulted and abused.
During the Inquiry, senior managers in children’s social care commented to us that CSE comprises a very small proportion of the total contacts/referrals to children’s social care – just over 2%. One manager was reported in a recent minute of the Child Sexual Exploitation sub-group as saying that ‘agencies need to retain a sense of proportionality with regard to child sexual exploitation, as it only actually accounts for 2.3% of the Council’s safeguarding work in Rotherham. Although it is a very important issue, child neglect is a much more significant problem’. This is not an
appropriate message for senior managers to give. We fully support the view expressed by police officers responsible for CSE in Rotherham – ‘It may be 2% of referrals but these children are a high proportion of the children most at risk of serious injury and harm’.
One young person told us that ‘gang rape’ was a usual part of growing up in the area of Rotherham in which she lived
1 person raping over 80 boys and young men. Wow. So it needs less than 20 of these men to come up with the number of 1400. 1400 for sure is to low a number. They should put his full name with mugshot in all newspapers to stop such craziness IMOGenerally, there has been relatively low reporting of sexual exploitation of young males, with the exception of the police operation and a criminal conviction in 2007 of an offender who abused over 80 boys and young men
