Tit For Tat

Apparently the newly elected Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene is ignorant of the way Congress works.

I can see Pelosi quietly spreading the word that any bill that has Rep. Greene's name on it, even as a co-sponsor, is dead. We'll see how many republican Reps. will be working closely with Greene.

I think it's also over the Russian thingy as some still have not accepted Mueller's findings.

In their defense (sort of) a whole lot of people on both sides of the aisle fell prey to Barr's 'preemptive summary' of the report which created the lasting, but false impression that the findings were far weaker and less substantial than they actually happen to have been. Naturally, the media on both sides went right along with Barr's stratagem and amplified his spin as they almost always do to one extent or another. And, as for the public... well, we Americans love to brag about how media-savvy we are, and how properly skeptical we are of what we hear and see, and especially how it's only ever the other side that -- miracles of miracles! -- has any sucker fish among them. Make of that what you will.

Twilight Hue

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
In the news....
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene vows to file articles of impeachment against Biden
Excerpted....
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, the newly elected Republican from Georgia, took to Twitter Wednesday to announce that she will be filing articles of impeachment against President-elect Joe Biden a day after the inauguration.
She said her motivation is to stand up for the 75 million Americans who are "fed up with inaction" in government.

Back to me...
Oh, dear.
The Democrats who immediately upon losing leapt to impeachment are fools.
The Republicans who immediately leap upon losing to impeachment are fools aping fools.

Other thoughts are welcome.
Thats weird. Biden isnt even in office yet.

Looks like from that timeline the first calls for impeachment from Dem congresspeople was July 2017. Good to know.
Unofficial talk started earlier though.
But now the Pubs are showing the Dems up.
The guy isn't even Prez yet.
Not that I approve.
I dislike careless impeachment.

So, is it your position that there is no cause to impeach Trump other than mere petulance?
You didn't say which time, so I'll address both...
1st time: Poorly thought out.
This time: Most appropriate. Do you disagree?

I recommend working on clarity.
But I understand you weren't prepared for
Trump's record setting achievement of
being the only Prez to be impeached twice.

I don't know how you impeach someone who hasn't started the job yet.

Makes me wonder who made them angry and why?

Maybe somebody pushed somebody too far?
So many reasons for so many people to be angry these days.
Police violence
Police defunding
Hillary lost
Trump lost
Left wing riots
Right wing riots
The plague
The economy
Socialists
Capitalists
I'm sure you could add to this list.

Poorly thought out? Perhaps, but that's often true of any chancy venture that fails. But note: "Bloody Sunday" failed.

I recommend working on clarity.
You wrote:
Both parties show intent to impeach ASAP without

Given that you "recommend working on clarity," would you mind clearly answering the question?

I have no idea what you're talking about.

I did.
I have no idea what you're talking about.
The thread is about how talk of impeachment began
for Trump upon his election. The same is happening
to Biden, likely in retaliation for Trump's 2nd one.

And yes there are differences. Before the cheer squad
jumps in to cry "False equivalency!", just consider the
similarity of this potentially new tit for tat phenomenon,
ie, immediately upon election using impeachment as a
political weapon.
To further clarify....
I find it absurd, feckless, & polarizing for Pubs to plan
impeachment before inauguration. Do you agree?

Honestly that would improve cricket immensely. Seriously cricket regular is so boring it can put actual crickets to sleep
You're on to something there.
Cricket is seeing stiff competition for fans
from the new sport of watching paint dry.
