How would you detect it if it did?Time never stops. Period.
Easy. The universe would be destroyed. Including me.How would you detect it if it did?
Why would that have to happen?Easy. The universe would be destroyed. Including me.
Time is past, present, future. You can't have only one of the three dimensions of time. All three are inseparable. Why would that have to happen?
I don't think you understand what a "dimension" is...Time is past, present, future. You can't have only one of the three dimensions of time. All three are inseparable.
What is it?I don't think you understand what a "dimension" is...
"a measurable extent of some kind, such as length, breadth, depth, or height."What is it?
Hey, stopping time isn't part of the physics we understand.Time is past, present, future. You can't have only one of the three dimensions of time. All three are inseparable.
Then I rephrase. Time has past, present, future. These three are inseparable."a measurable extent of some kind, such as length, breadth, depth, or height."
There is no reason something can't have zero as it's measure of length. The same is true of time.
Might be better to say that there's no reason something can't stop moving from right to left. The same is true of time."a measurable extent of some kind, such as length, breadth, depth, or height."
There is no reason something can't have zero as it's measure of length. The same is true of time.
Yeah. And?Then I rephrase. Time has past, present, future. These three are inseparable.
There are physics we don't understand???Hey, stopping time isn't part of the physics we understand.
So if stoppage is possible, then survival might as well be.
You can't have one without the other. So time never stops.Yeah. And?
The premise of the OP is that time stops. There are physics we don't understand???
I'd also add ''impossible''.The premise of the OP is that time stops.
I say that the physics we do understand
would make the stoppage immeasurable.
If you reject the premise of the thread,I'd also add ''impossible''.
I don't see how that follows. If movement from left to right can stop, then so can movement from past to future. You can't have one without the other. So time never stops.
How?I don't see how that follows. If movement from left to right can stop, then so can movement from past to future.
The OP gives one possibility.How?
what one to the other? It would stall the movement from one to the other is all.
