They're comfortable, and worn by both men and women.I've never even heard of a longyi.
Any advice on how to keep them on a very slim young man?@JustGeorge
I often wear a sarong at home . Very comfortable.
I started in 1981 after I lived for nearly a year in Malsysia.
You could wear a woman's longyi. Fold and tuck.I avoid things that need tying.
Hence the Crocs & Sketchers Slip-Ins.
I can still remember how to tie a bowline knot though.

Mrs Revolt barely tolerates my current fashion choices. You could wear a woman's longyi. Fold and tuck.
I just tie it with a simple knot after wrapping once around. Back in Malaysia(when I was alot slimmer), I suppose I just did more than one wrap.Any advice on how to keep them on a very slim young man?
He tied it a few different times, but it kept coming undone. Eventually, he was disappointed and gave up, complaining about needing pins(I use pins on mine, as the last thing I need is to have to chase him down the street and have my longyi fall).I just tie it with a simple knot after wrapping once around. Not sure if that helped. There's probably a better way
Jedster the not very good wrapper
We're working on securing him a pair.@JustGeorge
Have you tried trouser braces as @ChristineM suggested.
I just googled trouser braces and see that there are lots out there the he(your son) might like to match with the sarong. He could look like a super hero.
Nor me. Assumed it was a type of Korean noodle.I've never even heard of a longyi.
Sounds great to me.We're working on securing him a pair.
But, he wants to wear his with black pants and no shirt, so he can look like his favorite superhero in a favored video:
I have yet to see that.Sounds great to me.
Coincidentally, I discovered Queen some months back when I randomly watched Bohemian Rhapsody. Just loved it.
I have yet to see that.
