A Vestigial Mote

A jungle deep
To never sleep
All green and gold it seems.
The mice and beast
To fawn and feast,
With so much life it teems.
A beach of white
In ocean's sight.
For the eye is sea so far.
The wise will learn
The unerring burn
Of our churning, wrath-wrought star.
A forest fair
Spectral to bare.
With leaves of yellowed red.
Its winds and trails
Beneath a veil,
So whelmed in leaf its bed.
A winter's night
In blue and white.
A calm yet biting chill.
The soul to sieze
With frost and freeze,
And render hearts to still.
To never sleep
All green and gold it seems.
The mice and beast
To fawn and feast,
With so much life it teems.
A beach of white
