Theism without religion

So I have a little question; If you are a theist who doesn't subscribe to religion, do you believe that religion is wrong about god(s) (by whatever name you prefer to call deity)? If not why did you turn away from religion?
the people I've spoken to who are theists without religion, dislike priests. priests leads them away from religion.

Religion, politics and pretty much any set of ideologies/belief-package - involves some herd-mentality.
Ideally, maybe we'd each be able to muster enough faith on our own, but the vase majority of times, it seems that it's much easier to believe when others are believing it too.
