The whirlwind of our days
The day can seem slow,
yet the weeks slide by,
Thursday, blink, Thursday again,
such a whirlwind our lives,
no one can slow it down.
Would I wish it any other way?
,
Well no, for time is our coin,
knowing the rapidity of life,
allows its preciousness to deepen and grow.
Is our life a dream?
Yes, and no, for time is real,
our rendering of it seems off-center
though I cannot figure it out.
Dreamlike because everything slips through our hands
what we think is the far future, soon becomes the past,
ever-receding, until it is forgotten, buried, yet always there.
Lord deepen my understanding of the importance of our days,
that what we become, is what we choose to do,
