The vaccine and the booster

We Never Know

No Slack
Some types....
- Decry the danger of vaccines, but without comparing
the relative danger of disease. This belies intent behind
furnishing dubious &/or partial info.
- Argue against vaccination generally.
- Refuse vaccination for dubious reasons.

There could be more.
I thought of those.

Your example appears below the threshold.

So if someine has had all the vaccines throughout their life but not the covid one, are they an anti-vaxer?

But you Yanks have been ruling yourselves since the British left, so you only have yourselves to blame, right?
You elect the government, so it's silly to be "anti-government", right?
I don't elect our government.
I'm just a voter who knows his vote has no effect.

It's very unhealthy for teeth, esophagus, & who knows what else.
??? Do you actually know what a vomitorium is/was... Or do you believe the misconception?

This is a vomitorium.

Join the club. But it's pointless to whinge about being "anti-government".
You're welcome to "whinge" if you want.
I'll keep my anti-government perspective because
I resist government's many attempts to mess with me.

But you elected the government. That's how democracy works.
What other system would you prefer?

Our sources disagree.
Sometimes a source will be a stickler for etymology,
& refuse to acknowledge current usage. I prefer
sources that deal with language as it is....not as it
once was, or believed it should be.

However in this case its language as it was, a vomitorium was not a place to vomit but a place to enter and exit a public building.

And the sources don't particularly disagree, just that your source can be easily misinterpreted.

From your source
in particular a chamber supposedly used ...

Besides, I'll go with the oed and not some source ive never heard of

And yet, dictionaries also cite "vomitorium" to mean
a place to vomit during feasting celebrations. You
want to win an argument that it means something else?
I hereby allow that it has multiple meanings.

BTW, I won't say you're "right". (You might accuse
me of saying you're a conservative.)

The old no-true-dictionary fallacy, eh.
This (my favorite dictionary) will be my
2nd source that confirms my usage....
