The vaccine and the booster

Twilight Hue

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
Paranoid much?
Not with all the insider trading going on.

Nancy Pelosi’s Recent Stock Purchase Raises Important Ethics Issues For All Of Congress

Lawmakers made hundreds of stock transactions during pandemic, watchdog finds

Snippet....

Last year, former Georgia Senator Kelly Loeffler was accused of insider trading and profiting off the coronavirus pandemic when she sold between $1.275 million and $3.1 million in stocks right after being briefed in January 2020 about the seriousness of the virus.

It's a bipartisan problem.

Informed much?

That’s what I heard…if a person isn’t up to date on the booster they are considered unvaccinated, still trying to figure out why people would go there on that thinking, well I have some ideas.
This post suggests to me that you don't know anyone who works somewhere with a vaccine mandate.

Am I right?

You may want to clarify that “these Covid vaccines “ aren’t supposed to convey 100% immunity. Previous vaccines for diseases as measles, mumps, rubella, tetanus, etc. are considered effective in preventing the disease and transmission.

Wrong

Measles Vaccine

MMR vaccine is safe and effective
Two doses of MMR vaccine are about 97% effective at preventing measles; one dose is about 93% effective.

Basically a narcissist. Somebody obsessed with their "rights", and not in the least bit aware of their responsibilities.
Children grown older.
I know many anti-vaxers in whom I don't see narcissism.
For some it stems from a general anti-government attitude.
Others just got some bad info.

To me a general anti-government attitude is adolescent, ie children grown older. Boring.

I'm one of those with a generally anti-government attitude.
I see pro (big) government types as immature, ie, children
wanting to be cared for & disciplined by a parental figure.
But...
We pro & anti government types can still both endeavor to
do what's reasonable, eg, get vaccinated against disease,
fight government oppression where it arises (eg, policing).

There's a common tactic used by anti-vaxers....
Accuse pro-vax entities of corruption &/or incompetence because
they changed something. Often it's suggested criticism...a question
asked with an air of suspicion. But it's not pursued with analysis
to understand the basis of the change, & actually demonstrate some
failure or nefarious intent. This is a way to easily cast aspersions.
It avoids comparing outcomes between vaccinated & unvaccinated
populations.

That's what the first part of my first sentence says.

Previous vaccines don't/didn't convey 100% immunity either, and yet we managed to eradicate small pox and almost eradicate polio, measles, etc.

Here is a list showing duration of protection for various different vaccines:
Efficacy and effectiveness

Here are explanations for the difference between vaccine efficacy and effectiveness and explains how diseases can be eradicated even when vaccines don't provide 100% immunity.

I don't get what you're actually against.

I don't get what you're actually against.
Big government, high taxes, authoritarianism, uniforms,
oaths, over-regulation, immunity from responsibility,
uber-patriotism, violence, screaming, irrationality, disease,
environmental degradation, over-population, civil forfeiture
abuse, & putting mint in chocolate.

I’m concerned that so called “breakthrough” cases will lead to a greater distrust of vaccines for the future.
Though in saying that people seemed to rush to get the booster in my state. No doubt after seeing all the hospitalisations.
So maybe my fear is unwarranted. Still. I’m a little wary of the future.
As the longer this goes on, the more suspicious people around me seem to get.

Not an exhaustive list.

Notice that heavy cream sauces weren't on the list.

Or mime artists. Snails and frogs. And get off my lawn.

Edit. I will add that i use the word artist in its widest possible sense
