I have a PC, and I just got it back after breaking a key off (the key isn't covered but at least it types now).

Weeks upon weeks, I've been using the school laptop (they gave freshies-seniors laptops through all that time, we have to keep them) and it is a mac. I was getting so used to it, taking screenshots left and right, when suddenly... my PC was fixed.

I jumped on it right away and I just realized: Screen shots aren't as simple, taking a picture of yourself takes a little bit more time, you can't save pictures simply by dragging them onto your desktop, etc.

All my life as a PC user and only a mac user during school hours, WHAT IS SO MUCH BETTER ABOUT PC'S? They're cheaper: fairly. But they break easier, get slower sooner than macs, are missing some great programs, etc. I actually hated Media Player and have iTunes on my PC.

I still use DOS for real work.
It can be tricked into being powerful.

The real difference between Macs and PCs is personal preference. There are pros and cons to each. I personally favor PCs because to me, customizability is absolute king (in hardware and software) and that is simply something you cannot get in a Mac. It is Apples way, or the highway. But if you are fine with that, and their price range, then there is nothing wrong with owning one.

Um, what? First, you cannot criticize PCs for crappy hardware. You can only criticize that piece of crappy hardware and whoever made it. Unlike Apple, PCs are not tied to one piece of hardware or another. You could use an Apple keyboard on a PC if you wish. And your other criticisms are also largely due to the fact that PCs can be more highly customized, which makes building certain default functions into them a little more tricky. Also, what makes you think you cannot drag and drop files onto the desktop of a PC?

Hmm, never really tried dragging files onto the desktop.

Also, I mean I guess it's just on how I like my customization, but the customs I can do with Mac fit me well, unlike PC.

For the cost of an average Mac, you could buy an amazing PC. As far as software goes, if you prefer Mac OS over Windows, install Linux, it has all of the features Mac has without the limitations Apple adds on for no good reason.

I thought the ultimate debate of mankind was Star Wars vs Star Trek.

    Pbbbbbttbtbbtttt!
    Kirk's advantages:
    - Far, far more alien babe hook-ups.
    - His bad acting is more fun than Picard's bad acting.
    - He won fights despite having the worst martial arts skills known to man.
    - He's a bad bad boy.
    - He would've never tolerated Wesley Crusher being on the bridge.
    - He could beat Spock at chess.

    PCs... Macs...

Doesn't matter. Both are for those poor sods who can't get Linux to work. ^_^ (such as myself :bonk:)

Well, that's probably because Kirk is already a bad actor in general, whereas Picard is generally a good actor, so it's more painful when his performance is bad.

I would recommend trying out Ubuntu.
You can even instal it on a USB drive or cd/dvd and run it from there:

    It is not a debate.
    Star Wars wins hands down.

I spent a good deal of my early professional life writing multitasking applications for the PC. Nevertheless, my home computers are (and will be) Macs simply because I am willing to pay for superior engineering.
