The three Faiths festival, Jaffa- Israel

With the surreal timing with the Gaza raid today, I paid a visit to Jaffa to check out 'the 3 faiths festival'. the event included a free market thing, and shows, including Jewish and Muslim musicians, although I arrived somewhat late to catch all the activity, I got a bit of the decoration and some nice photos of Jaffa itself, the decoration expressed best wishes for Chanukah and Christmas as well.

The Clock Square with its distinctive clocktower was built in 1906 in honor of Sultan Abdul Hamid II:

I suppose that because of the military situation in Gaza, security measures were taken and a police heli could be seen hovering above the event:

On the cafe's wall hanged an interesting blessing in Hebrew, here's my version of translation:

The blessing of the dwellers of the home
Blessed are the dwellers of this home
Blessed is this home
In an eternal dance
of blessed words
of subtle emotions
of focused thoughts
Blessed is this home
with balance, with relief.
and with the flow of the infinite
into the finite of materialization.
Blessed is this home
with the love for all.
Blessed is this home
for everything shall take place in it.

This place also served a beer from the only Palestinian brewery, Taybeh:

I hope the next photo has no connection to the fluffy residents of Jaffa...

Caladan--

Nice photos! I have a thing for clocktowers! Loved that. You always have great photos and they let me see so much more of places I have never been. Thank you! :)

(And that Israeli border guard was cute!! Hahahaha :p)
