I just finished watching “The Spy Goes North” (2018) on BBC iPlayer. Its a must watch if you have any interest in the Korean peninsula. Its a Korean language film but I was still gripped even following subtitles.
The plot starts slow but then builds up. A south Korean intelligence officer goes under cover as a businessman to visit the north to try and gain access to north Korea’s nuclear facilities. After starting an advertising campaign for the north and smuggling valuable antiques in to the south, not surprisingly he gets more than he bargained for.
If you are ok with spoilers, here is a link to an article on the events on which the film is based.

The Spy Gone North review – timely Korean spy thriller proves a real nail-biter
If you have any thoughts and comments you want to share, feel free. Otherwise, enjoy.
And yes, This is the Communist Only Sub-forum. So you may want to stay out of Gulag country if you want to keep those precious American freedoms you love so much.
