I've got a question for all yous out there who are UU's (to give our sources some time in the limelight)....which do identify with most??

Mine would have to be the 7th principle/source:

Respect for the interdependent web of all existence of which we are a part.

This ties in wonderfully with my budding Paganism and also with my beliefs in rebirth/reincarnation.

I'm a laxed UU member, but for me it is a hard pick between these two:

4) A free and responsible search for truth and meaning

7) Respect for the interdependent web of all existence of which we are a part

I feel that the heart of religion is expressed in the fourth one. Religion is about finding our truths and meanings for life and living. And, this should be something each person does of their own accord, not dictated to them by others.

I'm referring to the Six Sources, but nonetheless, these are two incredibly AWESOME answers! Keep these up. As for this eclectic Panentheist, I flow with Direct Experience and Wisdom from the world's religions!

I like the practical philosophy of the Eightfold Path in Buddhism, the progressive revelation of Baha'i, the inspiring life of Jesus, and the originality of Zoroastrianism.

I would say the source I identify most with is:

Humanist teachings which counsel us to heed the guidance of reason and the results of science, and warn us against idolatries of the mind and spirit;

--because there aren't many other religions that would even include this.
