Caution:
No naming anyone who isn't a public figure.
This thread is not about bashing posters.

Does anyone else notice people who oppose protection of the right
of organizations, either private or public, to enforce vaccination &
mask wearing for the protection of workers & the public?
We see statements ranging from claims that vaccination or masks
are ineffective, to claims that vaccination is dangerous. They're not
anti-vaxers per se, ie, they don't oppose others choosing vaccination.
Yet they advocate measures that interfere with Covid 19 mitigation.
Florida's governor, DeSantis, comes to mind.

Yes, though not sure your question or how to approach the topic... we'd hope it's not about bashing, but I guess we'd cross our fingers?

I recommend re-reading the OP.
It says....

The comment of mine you commented on was in reference to Ecco's comment in 59. The other two comments I gave you reflected the OP. Unfortunately, you jumped at my comment to Ecco which was totally inappropriate how you approached it. It would be better to read what I wrote in previous posts before replying and/or when you do reply, do so in light of a proper discussion. Your feelings about me are irrelevant to the OP, so let that rest.

I stand by my original comment in this post. People don't read the OP and go about bashing anyway. I mean I wrote some of my posts in journal but people still have itchy trigger fingers.

I'm sure many people do notice what's in your OP but what is the direct question/point you're trying to get across?

I've seen a huge range ... right from the vocal anti-vaxxer who goes to the street in front of hospitals and yells at everyone, to the quiet person who rarely goes out, never speaks their mind about it, and has made the decision that they personally don't need the vaccine, because their lifestyle never was risky.

So too with the pro side ... there's a range.

I find the DeSantis type interesting....advocating safe
behavior at times, yet also impeding it at other times.
Is this a coherent policy, or is it trying to curb the
pandemic while pandering to an anti-vax base?

It's called understanding freedom.
It seems that there are different understandings.

DeSantis would fine me if I require that staff in close
contact with others vaccinate. He doesn't recognize
my freedom to run a business in a safe manner.
He's just another big government type...he'd be
happy as a Democrat, eh.

Only there is evidence that vaccinated people still spread covid anyway. So what's the issue?
It's not safer, that's a false premise.
