The sane mind.

The sane mind behaves very much like a camera.
It observes. It records. It neither judges nor questions.
It sees what is there, and leaves it at that.

The insane mind processes what it sees, colors it with bias, judges and questions it.
No longer does it deal with what is there, but what it thinks is there, and what that mental construct means.
It questions when there is no need to and argues with the answers.

substitute "unenlightened" for "insane" and "enlightened" for "sane", and I'd agree.
