You know...my knee hurts, my eyes are bothering me, and I have to go into my office tomorrow.....to support all those retired folk\, who so desperately need my help...and I'm still not grumpy and I can't even bring myself to insult them....as a matter of fact I feel like apologizing.......I must be incredibly ill

A veritable parade of possible replies walked, road and flew through my brain. One stuck, a song by the Incredible String Band that I enjoyed in my misbegotten youth

It's of a famous highwayman a story I will tell
His name was Hirem Pawnitof, in bread street he did dwell
Through all the storms of his career few troubles he had missed
His tale was wrote from ear to ear, and he looked like this:
...
Then had not gone but 20 yards when a pieman they did spy
They smacked their lips with hunger keen - my kingdom for a pie
The peddlar twinkled once or twice
Not one word did he say
With snake-like eyes he shouted 'pie'
And he struck him on the head with the tray

It was at that moment Hirem Pawnitof attained enlightenment

It is not enlightenment...of that I am pretty sure....but it could have something to do with pie

I think this overwhelming feeling of niceness is not so much being nice as it.is lack of caring brought on by sleep deprivation

Bears are Counting on Me

After receiving an email with the subject
"Rick, Bears are counting on you"
I mailed all my money to the forest.
I plan on telling my wife about this
when she gets home. I know
she and my son
think bears are so cute
