Many Jungians might balk at this topic but it is one that some Jungians would embrace as an important consideration...that the psychologist Carl Jung has created an understanding of religion from a point of view independent of those religions while, at the same time, finding deep and ultimate value in those religions. Since Jung also provides an alternate method for pursuing religious meaning we have here the makings of a proxy for religion or a way to create ones own religious practice.
Given Jung's deep respect for the pursuit of scientific knowledge, how can we understand this?
