They want to impede on the rights and liberties of others. They want to deny them jobs, houses, schooling, health care, and other services.
No, its attemp at self righteousness, a pathetic attemp that is standing up for those who cause needless suffering upon others. There is no hypocrisy. I have worked with Christians without it being an issue. Christians have not necessarily mutually returned that respect. Rather, they want it a right to deny me employment and not work with me.
Then why do so many believe the Earth to be no older than 10,000 years with evolution having never happened? Why do so many claim psychology is of the Devil just as much as biology? Ever hear the phrase "god hates ****?" They get that from what passed as acceptable before we knew of blood borne diseases (the Bible has no idea of this danger and ritualizes a good way to make people very sick).
Then why do they see no more public school led prayer and legalized same sex marriage as an attack on them? They have to share, and they scream they are martyrs.

This is just two opposing pointing at each other and saying "see I'm right, they're wrong". As I've continued to restate. Hypocrisy.

    Yada yada yada.

Not all Christians embrace their intellectual heritage (some don't even know about it), all I can say is that you're dreadfully misrepresenting what Christianity has actually produced in the past 2,000 years in these areas. I'm not even a Christian, yet I am able to recognize it for what it is.

Hypocrisy again. They have every right to hold those views and practice daily prayer if they wish. I don't know what instances you are speaking of in particular but again, this is just one view (yours) self-asserting it's disagreement with the view of another (theirs).

No, I'm not. I'm putting the spotlight on the suffering, pain, and injustices they cause because A LOT of them believe bronze age policy is suitable for morality and ethics today. They even have to abandon large parts of the Bible and no longer practice them because today they are illegal and against our most treasured liberties. The Bible prescribes death for apostasy. Today we've come along way since then, replaced the Bible with people such as John Locke, and instead what we have today is freedom of religion.

They can believe that. They have no right to hold others to it. And yet they scream and cry and fight it when theyre told they cant have their way. Mike Pence, for example, continued to disallow same sex marriage in Indiana even after the Supreme Court legalized it. And they cry and insist they are martyrs because he lost.
They have to share. Its not just me, its literally the law.

Again, this is the way your ideology views these topics, not all ideologies agree with yours.

Do I have to repeat myself?

They obviously feel as strongly about it as you do, that's obvious.

This is why moral relativism is dangerous. Real harm and damage is done (sometimes death), but to you its a only a matter of perspective. Do you know who else can claim that if you just hear them out? The Nazis. The KKK. Stalin and Mao. Andrew Jackson. Julius Ceasar. Vlad Dracul III. Charles Manson. Jim Jones. ISIS and the Taliban.
Their agenda, their perspective is irrelevant. And we had to tell them, legally and socially, to bugger off and knock it off when it came to slavery and segregation, because guess what? Racism is a matter of perspective as well.

Well yeah. However this is not why my discussion has been about.
As I said, whoever has the gun gets the final say in these matters and the opponent is always chastised or antagonized. Both sides oppose each other, I just observe from my own side. I don't think it's fair for you to characterize them the way you do, they have every right to their position like you do yours.

It pretty much has been. Youre the one defending those who would deny someone the ability to spend their final moments of life with their loved one. You defend those who want to fire people from their jobs, deny them housing, and keeping them segregated. You defend judges issue court orders telling parents they cant teach "non mainstream religions" (meaning Wicca). Those are whi youre defending and saying their persoective matters, because its all just conflicting ideologies. Of course, we all know that, just like technically we are all dying. Denying rights and liberties to people because of what an ancient book says is entirely inappropriate for the 21st century nation-state. They have their right to their beliefs, not to force others to adhere to their beliefs. Frequently they do just that, and cry about how the christian hating world is out to get them (I was one of them, literally, no more public school prayer isnt viewed as acknowledging that other religions welcome under the law and its easier to allow none than all of them, but rather they say its an assault on Christians and god).
Not all opposing viewpoints are equally valid or considering as appropriate.

This is attacking a strawman, I am not defending anyone, you or your foes. Please don't mischaracterize me like that, there is no need for this.

Oh no, you're not defending anybody. You're just telling @Shadow Wolf "You're as bad as they are" over and over.

But you're not defending anybody

Religion and politics should never be mixed. Here in the UK it is unlikely a religious politician would be elected if they banged on about their faith as part of their political campaign.

Your are defending them by trying to paint us as being the same. Heres a key difference: in my line of work wanting to not have to work with Christians would be the end of that career, it would waste my education, I dont have a choice, and I dont see that as a reason for not wanting to work with someone. Many of them, for a number of reasons, want legal protections to not extend the same mutual respect.

Then you didn't understand what I said. Just like Christian schools didn't stop public schools, giving space for Christian whatever doesn't stop public access

Like the Mennonites and the Amish? I don't think so.

No, maybe you just didn't get the drift. We already see that it isn't going to be "only Christian" but rather "all symbols"

    1. Standard answer -- homophobic - fake news - irrelevant
    2. normal... how? what measure? who said?
    3. I did. There is curriculum.
    4. As I said... books will still be in the public library.

I will have to look it up.

Yes, now you're being repetitive like she is. I'm not supporting anyone either, this has already been established.

Why is it that all you want to do here is deflect the conversation to your own emotional feelings? Please stay on topic, thank you.

I realized I dont even care anymore. The Beast hasnt come out for awhile, it wants to come out, I was going to lead another member off a cliff with Bible trivia, but it doesn't need to come out. You go on believing your moral relativist self righteous bull****. Its not worth my time. Just hope your life never depends on "equally opposing viewpoints" having to see eye to eye on that.

So if you weren't supporting or condemning anyone, what was the point of any of your posts? Do you like passing yourself off as some sort of intellectual by pointing out other peoples' perceived hypocrisy?

To move outside of those things, to be more rational. You rated half of Shadow's posts "winner" and "love", so you are obviously enraged from whatever her side of the debate is. Have you ever considered treating the other side as human and not a boogie man? because that is what you both do to each other.

I'd love to see some great reasons that aren't emotional biases or antagonizing rhetoric, to side with either you or your enemies but I never will because there aren't.
