So, we now have settleforbiden.org seeking to operate on the left flank of the campaign. Welcome! But it's hard to read

Joe Biden will restore the United States’ place in the world.

and take their professed leftist credentials seriously. The international counterpart of John Lewis' "Good Trouble" is not Obama-Clinton "Good Imperialism."

Well a start would be to try to restore the position of the US as a voice worth listening to in the world. People ignore the current president because he talks out of his arse the whole time. Just not doing that would be helpful.

I feel for the progressives in the U.S. I think they realize the need to vote for Biden. But that does not mean giving up. What they need to do is fill the House and the Senate with the most progressive people they can find. And that goes for State governments as well.

And no reason they can’t go out and protest policies of the Biden administration as soon as they are given cause to do so.

The charitable interpretation would be that they're talking about the US's prestige and respect, rather than assuming that they're talking about the US's role as an imperial power.

The USA lost what little prestige and respect it still had 3 1/2 years ago, I don't think that's coming back, even with Biden.

If the choice is Biden or Trump ─ and it is ─ that's not a choice. Four more years of an ignorant foolish self-obsessed disorganized ruthlessly truthless narcissist is more than the world can stomach, let alone the US.

And fortunately when Joe nods off, Kamala Harris looks the goods ─ not something I've ever heard said of Pence ─ so stop worrying.

Banner slogans are for political euphemisms like 'Make America Great again,' and not meaningful.

No matter how you word it, which is from the very biased perspective portrayed here with flame words, anything is better than rule by the wealthy elite of the Oligarchy of Trump's Industrial Mercantilism.

If you have noticed recently is that Trump has been trying to buy votes by throwing money at the public, and often money that does not exist.

The fact that Trump was even elected will be a shameful stain on the pages of our history.
Well, it may go down in history as a classic example of what internet-mediated naivety can do to a democracy. Basically the country has allowed itself to be taken over by a synthetic figure from reality TV and Twitter troll.

I suspect history's judgement will depend on what the USA now does about it. One hopes that the electorate, and the democratic system as a whole, is learning from this experience. There are some signs of it evolving, for instance in the reaction of social media corporations to the lies and division unwittingly spread by their platforms. The next few years will be a tussle between those with enough vision to see the damage wrought by hyper-partisan echo chambers and the replacement of reasoned debate by 140char tirades and those looking for short term gains, by any means, fair or foul.

I hope the Democrats, if they win, will resist the temptation to indulge the same type of thing in revenge. I feel sure the best way to save liberal democracy is to play by the rules and strengthen them, even if it means sacrificing a bit of their own power while they are in office.

And added to his total incompetence as a president, Trump, with the recent findings of his actual financial worth and the enormous debt he owes to who knows, win or loose the election he is seen as a security risk, that if he were in the financial mess he is now in, and if this was known in 2016, he never would have been given a security clearance!

Kool-aid make one drunk.

A background check for an incoming president is required as well as full disclosure of taxes. It was already known well beforehand as to Trumps standing and disposition.

Well you know the adage of all of our esteemed politicians..

Throw money at the problem and it goes away.

No, it wasn't. He kept giving the excuse his taxes were under audit.
Had it been known the huge debt he was under and not known to who he was indebted to, he would have flunked security scrutiny. His first reaction was to call it fake news, next he simply claimed the information was obtained illegally.

No there are senior people there who knew but are not allowed to disclose. Its just people like us that are not privy.

What's shameful is millions of Americans concluded that a massive failure of a businessperson would be ideal credentials for the president.
I prefer candidates that aren't massive failures in business.
