The Word is one with the Spirit. In Greek or Hebrew Spirit means wind or breath. So when we say the Spirit of God we mean the breath of God whether we know or not.

I've been pondering for some time now how the Word is one with God like it says in John 1:1. How is God His own Word?

If you know how we humans make sounds including words. We use our breath to form sounds which are vibrations in the air.

I believe it is the same with God, but since God does not breathe air like us, His breath must be His own Holy Spirit. Therefore, I realized the Word of God is simply vibrations within the breath or Spirit of God.

And God is a Spirit as Jesus taught. So all in all, the Word is God; just as John says in John 1:1.

Keep in mind that in those days Greek Koine did not have the word 'Conceptual' and used 'Pneuma' related words, instead. Ideas were called demons, especially political ideas. The word 'Logos' was something like conceptual, but it was a word associated with that which gives form to chaos. It was very Greek, and it hooked into a philosophical 'Must have been this way' explanation of the origins of all things. They liked to say that chaos came first then order brought forth everything else from chaos: time, nature etc. The Logos was the thing which brought order and structure to form.

@Brickjectivity has basically inferred the way the Corpus Hermeticum explains it.

    6. Then saith to me Man-Shepherd: Didst understand this Vision what it means?

Nay; that shall I know, I said.

That Light, He said, am I, thy God, Mind, prior to Moist Nature which appeared from Darkness; the Light-Word (Logos) [that appeared] from Mind is Son of God.

    What then?—say I.

Know that what sees in thee 1 and hears is the Lord’s Word (Logos); but Mind is Father-God. Not separate are they the one from other; just in their union [rather] is it Life consists.

it is something understood by insight. this is why its name can only be expressed in the silence and understood. this is also why it is said to go forth immersing in the Name of the Father, the Son, and the Spirit. it can only be understood from insight.

thanks for the sharing. i didn't not know that there wasn't a word for conceptual, or idea in the greek. its interesting how the mind becomes conditioned to believe that everything i know and take for granted wasn't necessarily the case for some other.

the strong's G4151 definition does mention it as mind, or mental disposition.

    Genesis 1:1 (KJV)

the logos informed matter as you've implied?

Which is why Greek converts misunderstood Hebrew usage of Greek words and interpreted John 1 from a Greek philosophical perspective instead of a Judaic one. In this case, the pneuma is interchangeable with the Ruach and the Logos with the Word of God.

The Greeks understood the Logos to be a divine person and this gave rise to the trinity doctrine. Because for them the Logos is distinct from the God Himself. A concept foreign to Judaic theology. But embraced by early Greco-Roman converts to the Christian sect.

The Word was with God in Genesis and unless people realize that John is expounding on Genesis 1, then they won't grasp the meaning of what he's saying which is very profound.

The Spirit of God moved over the waters in silence until God said Let there be Light.

The Light is the Word of Life. The darkness is the shadow of death that covers all people.

So God must break the silence to give Life. Jesus body was broken and without it no resurrection, no life. Jesus is the Word made flesh. But it took His death to bring the
Word of Life; which is life from the dead. So the silence was broken and the shadow of death was overcome by the Light of Life.

That's right. The Word is the manifestation of God in the flesh and the resurrected Jesus Christ is the "Word of Life". (1 John 1:1) As Jesus said I am the Resurrection and the life. So that He was always so; because God is eternal and never changes.

So Jesus was crucified and risen from the foundation of the world. Impossible for us to understand properly because we experience time linearly. God is eternal so He already did everything and rests in the finished new Jerusalem. But for us right now; He never stops working for us. Because His love is great for us all. But what is future for us is already present for Him. Which is the seventh day of creation.

The root to the word “BRAHMAN” originally meant “SPEECH”, much the same as the “LOGOS” is said to mean ‘WORD.

The Greek word “LOGOS” which has been translated as “WORD”, should be seen as ‘The thoughts in the Great Collective Mind that is God, which are to be expressed.

Both Brahman and Logos are seen as the essential divine reality of the Universe, the eternal spirit=mind from which all being originates and to which, all must return. The LOGOS is today as it always was, and will be into all eternity. It is the only true constant in that it is constantly evolving. Show to me a mind that has ceased to evolve, and I will show to you a mind that has ceased to exist...

The term, “LOGOS” pertains to the very plan from the outset. [The creation of a universal body in which a Supreme mind or personality of Godhead to that body, develops.] In Sanskrit the similar meaning is given in the use of the word 'vach.' Vach means word. But in Sanskrit teachings of the Sanatana Dharma, vach has many levels. Including where the word is first considered as being in the mind as a thought, not as the spoken word or speech.

John 1: 1; In the beginning was the Logos and the Logos was God. And the supreme personality or controlling mind to have developed within the invisible eternal body of ever evolving information, was “THE LIGHT OF MAN” All the information, knowledge, wisdom and insight, gained from the body of mankind, the MOST HIGH in the previous creation, who was the Light and life of that ever-growing body of information, which is called God. All things came into existence through him, by him and for him. Without him, nothing exists.

You, the invisible mind that has developed within that created body are the controlling godhead to that body, with which you are one being, [body, soul and spirit]. But our words or our speech, is merely the expression of the thoughts that are stored in the minds that are we.

So you are correct in that you said; “The Word is one with the Spirit.”

Deuteronomy 18: 18-19; The Lord, The Son of Man, the most-high in the creation, said to Moses; “I will raise up for them a prophet just like you from among their own brethren; and I will put ‘MY WORDS’ in his mouth, and he shall speak to them all that I command him. And whoever will not give heed to ‘MY WORDS’ which he shall speak in my name, I myself will punish.?

When the Lord said through Jesus, the earthly host body that he has filled with his Spirit/Words; that to have life, they were to eat of his body, many were repulsed by this and disserted Jesus. He, through his servant Jesus, then said to the faithful, that he was not speaking of the flesh, which was of no use at all, (For flesh and blood do not inherit eternity) it was his spiritual body, HIS WORDS that they should feed on, “For it is the Spirit that gives life, and my words are Spirit,” said the Lord

But Jesus Christ was a human being supposedly so he could not be working for you now: are you distancing yourself from the actions of the eternal God who is active forever?

Jesus said He had all power in heaven and earth. Besides, as I pointed out there is no difference between the Son and the Father. Jesus is the Father.

Explain why you think I am distancing myself from the eternal God.

Because I have tested that no human being can be the same as God in ability and whatever man does God can easily dispose off as unhelpful and adharmic.

I agree with you for all of us; but Jesus is special. I believe we can't reach up to God; but that He can reach down to us. Jesus is not just a human; He is God manifest.

I see. I tried hard to be a God-manifest but could only find out the limits that our biology imposes in trying to be perfect and infallible. So I need to ask God to help me with my dharmic activities.

I don't believe we can be a God manifest. But God can give us His holy Spirit to help us manifest God's goodness through us.

I am in regular contact with the Holy Spirit and have been hoping that it is God that I have been communicating with.
