The Latter Days - Multi-Religious Discussion

Be your own guru
yes, many false messengers came but Muhammad(صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) was the one mentioned in Holy Bible, Muhammad(pbuh) in Bible
Why did Allah had to choose a pedophile for a messenger? (BTW, your proof is Zakir Nayak)

Mohammad has been followed by a host of others who were on order from the God of Abraham. Bahaullah, Joseph Smith, and Mirza Ghualm Mohammad, for example. Even David Koresh.

Hi, I am new to the forum, but recently I have noticed many things in the news and with life in general.

Many people (Christians, Jews, Muslims and even Hindus), have a concept of the End Times or the End of Days.

But what are the Signs of the Times within their religious facets.

I am a true witness of the Power of God, but just who is this Eternal Being that we worship. I am afraid that I have some interesting ideas regarding many miracles and have a bit of a prejudice about what I consider Gentiles.

So this discussion is intended to open the doors for peoples of the books.

In this discussion, I will postulate my own opinions and researches and hope that others can do the same. No Flaming please. This is a peaceful and enlightening discussion. Thank You.:rainbow1::shout

Keggy975,
When Jesus was on earth, his disciples came to him and asked this question: when will these things come to pass and what will be the SIGN when these things are about to take place?!
Jesus then told his disciples many things to look for, things that would happen just before he would return.
These things are recorded at Matt chapter 24, mark, chapter 13, and Luke, chapter 21.
Paul wrote about other things to watch for, 2Tim 3:1-7.
All of the conditions mentioned by Jesus and Paul happened throughout all of man's history, but only in THIS generation ALL these conditions have come in UNPRECEDENTED scope. This is like DNA, it is unmistakable signs of the end coming very shortly.

Like Buddhism, Hindus have thousands upon thousands of books. We have hundreds of sects and we cannot even agree within sects what is wrong or right. You may believe the Bhagavad Gita is our book but it's not my book. It's not Vinayaka's book either. Neither is the Bhagawatam my book and that is one of the books that speaks of Kalki.

Ask a hundred Hindus and the only 'book' that you'll hear we believe in is the Vedas and TECHNICALLY they're not a book, they are liturgical chants that were handed down in an oral tradition and continue to be handed down in that tradition even today. And the vast majority of Hindus have never even read the Vedas or understood them when they were chanted because so many of us do not speak sanskrit.

I thought this was a thread about Mormons. It should be called "Apocalypse" or "End of Days".

My thought is the Jesus will return like a thief in the night. No one will know. No one will see it coming, so why bother looking?

Many people (Christians, Jews, Muslims and even Hindus), have a concept of the End Times or the End of Days.

Peace be on you.
According to Ahmadiyya Muslims (alislam.org and mta.tv), this is last 1000 years era.

The history of religion is cyclic and is renewed every seven millennia. The present cycle from the time of the Hazrat Adam is split into seven epochs or ages, parallel to the seven days of the week, with periods for light and darkness. Just as the sixth day of the week is reserved for Jumu'ah (congregational prayers), likewise this age is destined for a global assembling of mankind in which the world is to unite under one universal religion: Islam.

Islam is the full form of religious evolution, completed at the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) and at Holy Quran.
The message was destined to have worldwide spread through the devotee of Hazrat Muhammad (pbuh). This devotee is titled as Promised Messiah and Mahdi (a.s.). According to Ahmadiyya Muslims, he appeared in 1889 in India to spread revive message of Islam with peace.

His era has mentioned in various signs in Holy Quran and sayings of Holy Prophet (pbuh). They are mentioned in such a linked way, that untrue fabrications do not fit in.

Some true signs of latter days are:
1-Spread of Christianity [not the real one which believed in One God]
2-Weaknesses of Muslims in practice of faith and in worldly esteem.
3-Spread of pornography.
4-Spread of fornication.
5-Break down of family.
6-Abundance of Drinking and Gambling.
7-Lack of loyalty to faith.
8-Lack of trust.
9-Ill treatment of parents but good treatment of friends.
10-Absence of true knowledge.
11-Not saying the words of prayers at meeting [Assalamo alaikum = Peace be on you], instead using of new words.
12-Prestige due to wealth, not due to faith and knowledge.
13-False leaders.
14-Denouncement of true faithful.
15-Muslims not learning Arabic.
16-Immodest dress.
17-Hiring females to attract customers to get profit in business.
18-Men wearing make-ups.
19-Plague.
20-Frequent deaths.
21-Nose related disease.
22-More women than men.
23-New modes of transport, based on fire.
24-Gold abundance.
25-Interest based economies.
26-Emergence of tricky group who will use religion and philosophy and fire driven inventions to tell people that One God does not exist and they are gods. [Djjal and Gog magog]
27-Collapse of Islamic goverments.
28-Increase in powers of labourers.
29-More than needed number of officials.
30-Eclipse of Sun and Moon in one month of Ramadhan [certain dates]in the presence of claimant of Mahdi [The Promised Messiah] -----This sign took place in 1894 in southern hemisphere and 1895 in northern hemisphere.

and more.....

The remedy of decline was foretold to be coming of a spiritual reformer, most major religions wait for him.....Some wrongly interpreted him as a person of death and killing....According to Ahmadiyya muslims, he is fully peaceful and he has come, now his Khilafat continues and process of making peaceful reforms has been in motion in 204 countries since 1889 to 2014.

I am a true witness of the Power of God, but just who is this Eternal Being that we worship.
....
....

This being is Allah (The Exalted), Who is One, has no partner, true deity, has all good attributes, free from all weaknesses and is source of all blessings according to Holy Quran [as summarized by Ahmadiyya Promised Messiah Mahdi (on whom be peace)

Worship of Allah means, a worship which must lead to peaceful rights-payment to His creation. [Otherwise worship of God with destruction of innocents is mere abuse of name of God.]

Second, Buddhism, as well as most eastern religions, don't generally tend to view history as linear, but as circular.

Christianity doesn't view history as truly linear, either. We believe that there was a previous time of perfection, then the Fall and then there will be a future time of perfection. It's like the concept of the Golden Age that exists in various mythologies.

I believe that the end of times get closer as faith in the higher power gets weaker.
It seems that as time goes by, generation after generation, the world is more and more into materialistic pleasures. Becoming further away from the truth. Which is love, peace, respect, happiness.
Overpopulation, famine, global warming, war will rise....and the end will come.
However, for the good souls, there is good news.
I truly believe that before the end....the good lord will take birth in human form. Our higher power will show us the way to freedom.

Gnostics have alot, so does Kaballah. I know that Mormons have a near perfect outline of things to come - And I shall illuminate everyone who joins the discussion about them.
No proselytizing here. And your Mormon beliefs are far from a perfect outline.
