It wasn't an attempt at a history lesson...You defend 'all things French" it seems. I was trying to suggest Lafayette(a Frenchman) liked the way Americans know the correct spelling of English words even better than thou..Have you? I wish i had the time for an idle mind or irrelevant history lesson

Me too. Usually using a grass whip to clear an electric fence. Once while working my hand slid down a bit too far on the wooden handle. When I got up I concluded that the electric fence was, indeed, functional again.I have never tried fencing.
