Jehovah’s Witnesses often clash with earthly powers. Several earthly nations are now imprisoning Jehovah's Witnesses for "Praising the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ." (1 Peter 1:3) Going door to door in Russia and proclaiming Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior will get you Five to Ten Years in Prison!

Soon, yes, very soon, all earthly nations will join in and try to silence the gospel of Jesus Christ. Even earthly religions have joined in with their political allies to squash and hinder the Good News about God's Kingdom. Jesus made it very clear that those who come against God's Kingdom would be Crushed by it.

We welcome these earthly events. "Now have come to pass the salvation and the power and the Kingdom of our God and the authority of his Christ, because the accuser of our brothers has been hurled down, who accuses them day and night before our God!" (Rev 12:10) "Woe for the earth and for the sea, because the Devil has come down to you, having great anger, knowing that he has a short period of time." (Rev 12:12)

Maybe it's because the JW's made outrageous claims about the arrival of Jesus
and this offended the Russian Orthodox church?

The claim made by the Jehovah Witnesses:

Last days - 1799
Start of Jesus' invisible presence - 1874
Jesus becomes king of heaven - 1878
End of the world - 1914.
