The "I'm Swearing Off This Thread" Pledge...

Feathers in Hair

World's Tallest Hobbit
Something clever that NetDoc and FBI just said made me think of this...

Are you having trouble saying goodbye to a certain thread?

Are you challenged in wanting to no longer challenge another poster?

Let me pretentiously pretend I've never had that problem (Try it! It's fun and alliterative (sp?)!) Take the pledge with me!

"This (thread/ poster/ idea/ comment/ principle/ brand of toilet tissue) is no longer (working/making sense/ using the same logic as we have on Earth/ cohesive/ buttering my biscuits) and I'm going to take my ball and go home."

(Feel free to insert adjectives anywhere you like!)

WAY TOO FUNNY! Can I be the poster child? :D For those of us who have a hard time avoiding these threads... don't forget to use your thread tools and unsubscribe from these useless threads.

I could not unsubscribe. :( However, I did take FIH's advice and quote and posted it in the appropriate thread.

I was laughing so hard my husband thought something was wrong because he saw tears in my eyes.

Frubals to you FIH. When I am able to, I will also give NetDoc some as well. He was the last one I fruballed.

NetDoc, in a couple of days remind me. I have a tendency to forget things.

I have this trouble with any thread pertaining to homosexuality. Sometimes it just gets too personal and I have to back away from the thread so nobody gets hurt lol. I've been pretty good at keeping my guns in their holster lately, although sometimes it's out of sheer exhaustion (too tired to get riled up).

I was trying to frubal you two, NetDoc and FBI, for the comments that inspired this, but I'd maxed out frubals! (Must spread more around!)

I know the feeling, Bastet, though I think any debate that has you on its side usually also has logic and common sense with it, too.

I didn't know "Logic" and "Common Sense" were users here!!?!?! :D

Now I've had the Voice of Reason on my side once or twice.

Hehehe...you're a cracker NetDoc. :biglaugh: Maybe I need to sign up again with two new usernames...then I'll always have "Logic" and "Common Sense" on my side. ;)
