Is the person still able to make choices; now the results of choices are the outcomes of the first response to have made a choice to do whatever it was. Even things not pertaining to drugs; lets say dangerous stunts, done without real constraints to be able to pull of the stunt and the person becomes damaged. (Or whatever fights with others, and other things you could think of mental abuse of another, improper raising of children by ( placing them in chains or in dog cages), other horrible dark things you could think of... because everyone in this world makes a choice and not all choices are good, some choices are horribly bad. ~ And each choice has a type of consequence to it.
Hmmm... Sometimes doing things results in consequences we have to live with, true. That's not what the song is about, though, as far as I can tell. I think it has more to do with living with trauma.
But even then, here's the thing - when it comes to trauma, how people become traumatized is kind of irrelevant. If someone develops PTSD from being drafted and forced into serving in the military, they also can get PTSD from service after enlisting willingly. No one chooses to become traumatized... If they choose to act in a way that results in trauma, I guarantee you they do so not expecting to experience that trauma, or they didn't comprehend just how terrible that trauma would be.
(Negative and Positive consequences respectfully) ~ And all humans have been in between both through out their entire life, along with ups and down even if they were birthed deformed and grown into adult.
True! You can't well have lived life without making mistakes along the way. It's how we come to understand how the world works, and consequences come of those actions.
Unfortunately, living in a subjective existence means we don't fully comprehend things until we experience them for ourselves. We can only gauge what we know about a given thing via our own experiences, but to fully know what that entails requires breaking a few eggs when we make our omelets. Until then, it's just a guessing game really.
I am not really sure what you are saying; cause My starting statement is about what the choices are people make; and if you listen or read the song lyrics you see some of the choices and problems of the person going through the experience.
Really? That's not what I gathered from the song. If you notice, in the beginning he talks about the trauma he endured when he was a child. He was raped and grew up in terrible surroundings. I don't know what kind of horrors you've had to endure, but we all tackle them in different ways.
Most of the time, the ways we tackle our demons isn't in a healthy way, but we don't realize that until we crack a few eggs and find out the hard way that our coping mechanisms make the situation worse. Most of the time we learn those habits from those unhealthy surroundings we are already entrenched in, so "choosing" to stop living a life that you've built yourself around isn't as simple as that.
Like I said before, digging ourselves out of that after we find ourselves neck deep in requires more than a choice - it requires serious help.
~ Even though natural causes, or accidents and people become maimed, or lose limbs, or lose eyesight, or lose hearing, or even incidents of consequences for a person to suffer trauma, : Such as rape; or a persons child is taken away from them and they search to find them; or a persons murdered, or a person steals from another or whatever the case may be.
Not sure if I am fully understanding what you are saying but thank you for your reply! SigurdReginson.
Eh... It could be that I'm misunderstanding your point, but I do have a habit of going off on tangents, so my apologies!
