Hooray! Thread necromancy!

The Teleological Argument in Haiku:

Look at all this stuff
It's so spiffy and complex
God must have done it

And a response:

It's complex; so what?
This does not imply design
Who would design God?

The Ontological Argument in Haiku:

God is the greatest
If he exists, he's greater
Therefore God exists

And a response:

Concept and object
You have gotten them confused
Equivocation

And another response:

What does "greatest" mean?
More mass could be "greater", no?
Therefore your God's fat. :p

More theological arguments in Haiku!

Pascal's Wager

No God? You just die.
God's real? Hell for disbelief.
Better believe, then.

and a response:

Say that the "real" God
Hates your belief more than none;
Then it's you who's screwed

And more!

The argument from religious experience:

I saw God myself!
It felt really convincing
Therefore God exists

And a response:

That is quite the claim.
Have you any evidence
Besides your say-so?

And another:

That guy saw Ganesh
It is your word against his
Why should yours win out?

Now is the twilight
of abominations' wrath,
Unfold the raptures.

The Black Fenriz Wolf
Now unleashed upon the world,
Open wide the Gates.

For ever now strives
To maketh sense of it all,
As Darkness descends.

Embrace dead Eden
In boiling, churning tempests,
The gods are athirst.

Xeper.

What I've seen myself
Was only seen by myself
Guess it was for me

Revelation all the time
Beatlesque Haiku

You say you want a
Revolution. Well, ya know
All wanna world change

You tell me that it's
Evolution. Well, ya know
All wanna changed world

When you talk about
Destruction, don't you know that
You can count me out

You say you got a
Real solution. Well, ya know
Love to see the plan

You ask me for a
Contribution. Well, ya know
I do what I can

When you want money
For people with minds that hate
Bro, you'll have to wait

You say you'll change the
Constitution. Well, ya know
We will change your head

You tell me it's the
Institution. Well, ya know
Free your mind instead

Say, don't you know it's
Gonna be all right, all right
Gonna be all right

Not knockin' anyone's poetry ;) , but a haiku is supposed to have concrete images, avoiding abstraction, thus evoking a concrete image and feeling in the reader. And since haiku were originally written in Japanese characters, the thing about syllables doesnt work the same way with the way Japanese was written thus doesnt apply in the typical way we read syllables in English. Just FYI, in case anyone would like to know.

Write as you would write!

On a pavement slab
lies the image of a woman
The most concrete beauty (ha ha ha)

In the morning light
how I long to smell
coffee and cigarettes

EDIT: Also just realized the OP covered that

:run:
