In order for radiocarbon-contaminated soybeans, for example, to actually pose a risk to the average human being, they would have to consume 400 kilograms [881.5 pounds] of soybeans per day for a year. "It seems to us that such a consumption pattern would lead to other more severe negative health effects than caused by carbon-14 radioactivity."

yes, look at how scientists argue with out taken everything into context.
No one said you should eat 400 Kg of soya per day over one year.
Break it up in 60 years, and its enough to make you age.
However, not consuming C14 food will restrict the ageing process.
And there are companies that does produce C14 free food today in tunnels.

What about the c14 in the atmosphere are you recommending not breathing to prevent ageing?

C14 can not be absorbed in our lungs.
The only way to get C14 in your system is to eat plantmaterial that absorbed it through plant photosynthesys.
Therefore, if an animal eats a plant, C14 is absorbed.
Once the plant or animal dies, C14 can not increase in it's system
Then it simply continue to decay into N14 and this is how Libby discovered C14 radio isotope dating.
    Greetings.

Anyhow, You opened another avenue on Biblical ages I never thought about.
If the atmosphere changed after the flood and allowed C14, it will take some time to reach equilibreum, but it will also take time for plants to absorb C14.
This is why the dates of the Biblical characters still reached 300 years after the flood.
Eventually it went down to 120 Years, and then 70 Years.
    Thanks for that one.
Check this chart and you can clearly see what effect the post Flood atmosphere had on ageing.

Are you joking it's carbon never heard of carbon dioxide poisoning

    Carbon-14 - Wikipedia
Carbon-14, (14C), or radiocarbon, is a radioactive isotope of carbon with an .... It is typically released to the atmosphere in the form of carbon dioxide

There is no scientific evidence of a global flood. Not only that but if the entire surface of the earth was flooded enough to cover mt Everest it still would be flooded because water always travels to the lowest point.

Rainbows have existed as long as atmospheric water has, because the water refracts light, rainbows didn’t just suddenly appear after Noah’s ark. They have been around millions of years.

The bible doesn't say global flood it says all the lands which would be all the lands they knew of

Unless you think a BC tribe had full global knowledge?

I’m not an atheist or a 100per cent Bible believer.
If it was all the lands they knew of they must have had a small knowledge of the surrounding area.

I think the title doesn’t accurately represent the article. If I recall correctly, in Noah’s ark story the waters dried up. But according to your article on the Black Sea the land there is still under water, “The land that went under stayed under."

Do you think they only had knowledge of lands under the Black Sea? What about Biblical references to places like Egypt, Babylon, Persia etc

The article talks of a massive flood that left an enlarged dead Sea, but yes I'm sure he travelled to all the places you mentioned the transport system being so excellent around 5-7000bc,, Babylon didn't even exist, Persia didn't exist

It's a account from pre history

    JJ50,
I have seen, on the internet graves, with skeletons in them, that were, well over 15 feet. I do not know if these were fakes, or not.
According to the Bible account Methuselah lived 969 years, and Jared lived 962 years.
These people who lived extremely long lives were before the flood.
There seems to be two reasons for these extremely long lives. One was, before the flood, the people were close to the time that Adam and Eve sinned against God, so that the imperfection that sin caused, had not contaminated the bodies of the people, as it did in later years.
If people are found, that lived before the flood, not mentioned by Name, in the Bible, and they are thought to have lived extremely long lives, it could be because of the difference in the heavens, after the flood.
Before the flood there was, what the Bible called, a Swaddling Band, around the earth, which was a very thick cloud layers, Job 38:9. When anything on earth is living, it absorbs Carbon 13, and when a living thing dies thatCarbon 13 slowly dissipates. This means that a living thing living before the flood, and the rain from the Swaddling Band, would make the living thing that died before the flood appear much older, because it did not take in much Carbon 13, so there would e very little left. The living things after the flood absorbed much more, because the Swaddling Band was then gone, and they would appear much younger, because they would have much Carbon 13 still in their bodies.
There are many people named in the first few books of the Bible that lived much longer that we live today. This is because they lived much closer to the time mankind was perfect, before the Fall. This is also probably the reason that God allowed close relatives to marry. Being so close to the time of perfection, they would not be susceptible to deformities.

    Darkforbid,
It is true that the Bible does not say that the flood of Noah’s day was a global flood, it does show, it seems to me, that saying that the flood waters were 15 cubits above the highest mountains, would lead a thinking person to reason that it had to be global.
