The birds were very noisy and confused, too.Enough of a partial here that I had to cut on a lamp. Saw a full eclipse about 53 or 54 years ago. Very odd feeling in the afternoon, even knowing what's going on. I can only imagine the affect on ancient man.
I had a friend post a video of the cows headed in for the night, and then stop in confusion. The birds were very noisy and confused, too.
I saw an eclipse in London in I think 1998
Very weird
Yeah, that was eerie. It didn't get as dark as I expected, the light just dimmed, but I remember the unearthly feeling quite well.
The seagulls here were making a lot of noise and flying in every direction, but stopped when it got dark.I think it's because all the birds (and other animals) stopped marking their sounds, a silence that was odd!!!
It actually did get dark where I was, but only when the sun was totally eclipsed. The moment the slightest sliver of light got around the moon again, it lightened up very quickly.
I was surprised by that. That such a tiny slice of sunlight could bring back the day just like that.
The volume of energy generated by the sun is staggering. Around 4 million tons of matter converted into energy every second.
