Have you seen Crumb's book? God is represented as Semetic. Same with Adam and Eve. I think Michaelangelo drew God in the Sistine Chapel as Semetic, too. Adam is supposed to be Semetic, too, but what does he look like to you? What about the statue of David?

Why does the serpent look like a velociraptor out of Jurassic Park?

It doesn't make sense if it is supposed to be Satan talking through a serpent. The serpent should look like a serpent. However, since the serpent can talk, maybe that's why it was represented as a serpent-human.

I got the book now and leafing thought it. It is well done. He did it straight. I haven't seen any pornography. If it were done the way he does his comics, then there would have been an uproar. I doubt George Lucas would have bought the original then. It's done the way I thought it would and it's easier to see what the words are suppose to mean. It's funny, in an ironic sense, that R. Crumb was the one selected to do this. It must've been to satirize and make mockery of Christians, but it didn't turn out that way. He has commentary, too, which reflects his atheist and beliefs with some satire.

As for the serpent-human (it does look like a raptor), God turns him into a serpent to crawl the earth and eat dirt after Adam and Eve at the forbidden fruit from ToK. gotquestions has it as a serpent. Maybe it could climb trees before.
