The Blood Sucking Rich

When Capitalists Literally Suck Your Blood

It's possible to reverse the situation where the overwhelming majority are cattle for the predatory capitalist:

Combating that will require robust universal programs like Medicare for All, social housing, child and elder care, and investments in communities: not only to redistribute material resources, but to restore the years of life that for too long have been stolen from those at the bottom rungs of society. The ability to live a dignified life is good for our health — no matter how old our blood is.

Or the overwhelming majority suck out the blood of the capitalists?

Yes, people have been selling blood and plasma for as long as I can remember. It does seem rather gruesome when you think of it. But it's an easy way to get a few bucks for those who are down and out.

But at least blood can be replenished naturally. I've heard other cases of organ donations. I remember reading about one guy in Pakistan who owed a debt to his landlord, so he was faced with the choice of either selling his daughter or one of his kidneys. He ended up selling a kidney.

The article says that this process is "medically dubious" and that the owner of the company isn't a medical practitioner nor have any of their claims been supported by peer-reviewed studies. It seems they're buying human blood and turning it into snake oil that only suckers would buy. As far as scams go, this one seems rather depraved - the realm of ghoulish bottom-feeders.

Didn't Lady Bathory believe that she could remain youthful-looking if she bathed in the blood of young maidens? That's what this sounds like, although if one checks out the clientele of their local blood banks and plasma centers, they're not young maidens. Many of them are older, in rough shape, heavy smokers and drinkers, most likely drug users in not very good health.

In a capitalist society you have the choice to buy or not to buy. Nobody can force you to buy an iPhone. You do this by choice. There may be peer pressure and/or the subjective need for the prestige, but there is no law and police forcing you to buy. Government is different. For example, ObamaCare was not a choice. One is forced by law and police to buy or else. This is predatory.

A predator does give the prey a choice to be eaten. The prey cannot shop around and say I prefer to be eaten by Wally the wolf. Predatory capitalism is an oxymoron. Predatory government, such as Socialism, is more consistent with the word predator. They will eat taxes and give no choice. Would't it be nice if you had a choice to pay taxes, or a choice how your tax dollars will be spent?

Choice in capitalism is what keeps the price down; competition. Every capitalist wants you to make their products your choice. Then knew they cannot force you to buy like government can. At the same time, they also know they are not the only vendor. Everyone has to compete to lure customers to buy. This competition raises quality, lowers price or uses marketing to entice. Government is a monopoly that can force you to buy. This means cost, quality and enticement are not necessary.

The best way to deal with capitalism is by consolidating demand; buying groups. As an individual your demand for an iPhone requires you pay retail price or wait for a sale. If you organized a group with similar choices, so all can buy together, you can pay wholesale.

The rich make so much extra money, because the consumer has yet to use group demand side economics. The huge profits shows they considerable savings are possible for a well managed buying group. The left has never figured this out, since thing in terms of a predator. You can beat capitalism at its own game. We can maintain a free market, but pay a fraction of the price, using collective demand; buying groups.
