The Pharaoh Nephren-ka was the High Priest of Nyarlathotep, of whom he became an incarnation. Through the Gift of the Shining Trapezohedron, brought to this world in aeons past by the Messenger Nyarlathotep, Nephren-ka would receive the knowledge of the Old Ones, and he would perform unearthly rites in the windowless crypt he had built as a temple and sanctum for the Shining Trapezohedron. During these rites the gods of the Old Ones would manifest themselves to Nephren-ka and speak to him in the Yuggothic language, relaying to him the Starry Wisdom of Nyarlathotep, and of Yog-Sothoth, and of Shub-Niggurath, and of other un-Earthly Forms.
It was these acts of the Black Pharaoh which struck great fear among the Egyptians, even though they were a magical people. The dark works of Nephren-ka caused his name to be striken from all monuments and temples. The sanctuaries he had built and all the temples he erected to the gods of the Old Ones were destroyed after his long reign which lasted for over 60 years. It has been suggested that Nephren-ka and most of his disciples were murdered. However, some survived and their descendents made re-manifest the great Work of the Black Pharaoh through the priesthood of a new cult dedicated to the god Sutek or Set, the Egyptian god of Darkness and of the Sky-by-Night.
The Way is Yog-Sothoth, and Nyarlathotep is the Key!
