The age of marriage in Islam, Wake up, O Muslims

“4. And for such of your women as despair of menstruation, if ye doubt, their period (of waiting after divorce) shall be three months, along with those who have it not. And for those who are pregnant (whether they are divorced or their husbands are dead), their period shall be till they bring forth their burden. And whosoever keepeth his duty to Allah, He maketh his course easy for him.” Holy Qur’an Chapter 65. Surah At-Talaaq (The Divorce).

I do not accept why many commentators wrote that the phrase (along with those who have it not) means to allow marrying the child girl who did not menstruate, what a lie and slander on the holy Qur’an and Prophet Muhammad (peace b upon him). And why?! Just to prove that the Prophet married Aisha at the age of 9 Hijra, or about 8 years and 9 months AD. Only in order to sanctify Bukhari and Muslim the known Traditions (Hadiths) books, they distort the holy Qur’an and the Prophet (peace b upon him).

The Holy Qur’an explicitly state that in order to marry the girl must reach the appropriate age of marriage:

“6. And try orphans (as regards their intelligence) until they reach the age of marriage; if then you find sound judgement in them, release their property to them, but consume it not wastefully, and hastily fearing that they should grow up, and whoever amongst guardians is rich, he should take no wages, but if he is poor, let him have for himself what is just and reasonable (according to his work). And when you release their property to them, take witness in their presence; and Allah is All-Sufficient in taking account.” holy Qur'an in chapter 4 Surah An-Nisa' (The Women).

Science has proven that there are cases where the girl is fully mature at the age of 16 or more and did not menstruate. And this is called:

Primary Absent menstruation

And then there are those who menstruation stops for up to 6 months and called:

Secondary Absent menstruation

Menstruation - Absent - Symptoms, Causes, Tests - NY Times Health Information

These are the cases the first verse was talking about clearly with no single atom of doubt.

Additional point proving the falsehood of these traditions “hadiths” that state the Aisha married the Prophet (pbuh) at the age of 9, is the comparison of the Age of Aisha and her sister Asma, which proves that the marriage was actually when Aisha was around 18 years old. Also another “hadith” in the same book Bukhari that states that (Aisha was observing “Aqalto: meaning observed with good mind and logic” her parents as Muslim since she can remember), which is actually for any child is not less than 4 years old, and “that this was in the time when weak Muslims migrated to Habasha (Ethiopia now)”, this was at year 5 from the begging of the Prophet message, and all books state that the marriage was on year 2 hijri meaning year 15 from the begging of the Prophet message, which only means that Aisha was around 18 years old at the time of the marriage.

We must dissociate ourselves from these traditions “Hadiths” that contradict with the holy Qur’an explicitly and cause disasters faced by the Muslim Nation now, so as to purify our religion, and awaken any ignorant before being driven by extremism.

On the contrary the holy Qur’an was fully written in Prophet Muhammad Peace be upon Him life, and memorized by thousands of his companions, literally prayed with more than five times a day, and so conserved and memorized generation after generation through the Muslim history.

Important Note: I do not intend to summon for discarding all the traditions (Hadiths), there are around 60 thousands traditions in the books, most of them summon for goodness and kindness. What I intended is to summon for putting the holy Qur’an at its rightful position as the primary judge for deciding the authenticity of any tradition. And the holy Qur’an is easy to understand for any educated person.

“17. And We have indeed made the Qur'an easy to understand and remember, then is there any that will remember?” holy Qur’an chapter 54 Surah Al-Qamar (The Moon)

I state that any good in this study is a blessing from God Almighty, and that any error is from my humble person and from Satan. And God Almighty is the High, the Great, and the All Knowing.

According to a Sahih Hadith from Imam Al-Sadiq (as), or Imam Al-Kazim (as), marriage of small children is disliked.

Muhammad Bin Ismail, from Al-Fazl Bin Shazaan, and Ali Bin Ibrahim, from his father, altogether, from Ibn Abi Umayr, form Hisham Bin Al-Hakam,
It was said to Abi Abdillah (as) [Imam As-Sadiq] or Abi Al-Hasan (as) [Imam Al-Kazim], ‘We tend to get our children married when they are small’.
So the Imam (as) said: ‘When they are married and they are small, they fail to develop good relationship’.
