The American middle class used to signify economic security. That's now quickly becoming a luxury only the wealthiest can afford.

The middle class no longer has the economic security it did 50 years ago, and is disastrously smaller then it needs to be to keep economic activity rolling. And the new aristocracy that enjoys the luxury middle class once afforded is not enough to keep society functioning.

If the middle class goes. The country goes.
Yep, the response to this pandemic has really targeted the middle class. While corporations like Walmart and Amazon thrived; many small businesses were forced to shut down. For example the restaurant industry was particularly affected in many American states. If the middle class goes then there is no more upward mobility for the poor. That's something progressives should consider before they blindly vote in favor of the poor but not thinking of protecting the middle class at the same time. Funny how the mega rich support supposedly progressive measures ... it seems they wouldn't support something that would hurt themselves.

They had online ordering and delivery.

many small businesses were forced to shut down.
Most small businesses relied on in person experiences, so they suffered. That is why the trump administration and congress approved loans and grants.

For example the restaurant industry was particularly affected in many American states.
Which happens in pandemics.

What?

You mean like racial equality? Fair voting? Ethics in elections and among politicians?

It all depends on credit.

But greed has no point of satiation, and no appreciation for reason. And even worse then that, as everyone feels their security and their dreams slipping away, they respond by becoming even more greedy and aggressive; fueling the very poison that is destroying them.

Welcome to the fall of another human civilization. Another in a long succession of them. And all succumbed to the same demons: fear, greed, and stupidity.

What do our conservative/Republican members think the GOP is doing to help the middle class and poor attain more assets and wealth?

We are well aware of how the 2017 tax cuts helped the wealthy 83%. The net result is less revenue and a biggest deficit, which means more burden on the middle class and poor as funding is cut for states and cities.
