Taliban: serious, propaganda or both?

We cannot deny we all wish Afghanis spontaneously created a Western-like constitution with a Western-like legislation about fundamenral human rights.:)
I've talked to plenty Afghan refugees who saw Taliban rule as a tragedy rather than something to be delighted about, some of whom seeing their country as so broken and ruined that they don't see any point in ever going back.

Those Afghans would actually like to live in societies where their rights are being protected and they aren't treated as potential targets by foreign military madmen, and plenty of them would very much like to see their daughters attend school and not be beated to death for going out in broad daylight.

Of course, these will be discarded as non-examples because they don't fit the image we've contructed of Afghans as a fundamental Other that is diametrically opposed to anything we conceive of as "Western" in nature.
