Supreme Court Defederalizes A National Sin

Sir Joseph

While liberal individuals, politicians, schools, and media continue to secularize and promote ungodly values for America, it's surprising that any religious or moral reversal could occur. Such has just happened though with the Supreme Court's ruling on Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization. Finally, five courageous Supreme Court Justices have affirmed the flawed legal basis for Roe vs Wade's 1973 abortion ruling, stating that:

"The Constitution does not prohibit the citizens of each State from regulating or prohibiting abortion. Roe and Casey arrogated that authority. We now overrule those decisions and return that authority to the people and their elected representatives.”

Without detailing the biological distinction between a baby and it's mother that refutes the cry of women wanting control over their own bodies, or the irrational moral justification of killing humans because they're not classified as people, let me address a variety of relevant points to this extraordinary court ruling.

Our nation's Founding Fathers specified that religious matters are to be left to the states. This was the case for over 150 years with each state enacting its own criminal laws of morality and religious values. In 1947, a very liberal/progressive Supreme Court betrayed that principle in the precedent setting ruling of Everson vs Board of Education, paving the way for 5-9 unelected Justices to dictate religious and moral values for an entire country's populace. That has been the case for the past 70 years as 16 Supreme Court decisions have effectively replaced America's Christian heritage with a secular one. Make no mistake about it: abortion is a moral value, and moral values are based upon religious values. The current Justices have not only made a sound legal decision in upholding the Constitution which says nothing about abortion, but have also upheld our Founding Fathers' framework for a nation of United but differing States - with strict limitations upon federal authority. Overturning Roe vs Wade won't outlaw abortion, but it will allow the people of each state, through elected officials, to choose their moral standing on the issue. Any rational, freedom conscious person should respect and appreciate this aspect of the decision.

There's already charges that the closure of potentially 25% of the country's abortion clinics will disproportionately affect the black population. That's probably right, but since abortion was promoted most by a Planned Parenthood leadership committed to racism against blacks, perhaps killing less of their children to suppress their population isn't such a good cause to rally behind. Could it be that killing fewer babies might actually be a good thing, regardless of race? Let's see, that might be like saying "All Lives Matter!" - a supposed racist, offensive claim these days. But shouldn't they?

There's been over 40 recent, destructive attacks against pregnancy centers offering free, real support for estranged women in need. More arson, violence, and even death threats are being promised by Jane's Revenge and other radical abortion advocates. Is this not the epitome of evil or insanity, pursuing harm to others that don't support your perceived right to kill innocent lives?

Over 64 million fetus/babies have been lawfully killed in America since the 1973 Roe vs Wade decision. This atrocity in depriving right to life and freedom exceeds America's slave history, Germany's holocaust, and even other nations' genocides - all justified by dehumanizing people. While apparently many liberal and secular individuals have no problem with this, Christians and others with any moral conscience should. We can't expect God to bless this nation when its culture supports the same two sins that caused the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah. I pray this court's righteous decision will prompt a bit more mercy and time before America's current trend of depravity reaches God's judgement level.

May God bless Justices Samuel Alito, Clarence Thomas, Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh, and Amy Coney Barrett, and may he bless the many others who have fought for decades to protect the sanctity of human life, knowing that each conceived child is a human being with an eternal soul, created in the image of God, possessing infinite value.

And now I'm very worried for my friend who is pregnant, has a history of difficult pregnancies and has had an abortion to save her life.

Many try though.
God rears his ugly head in too many arguments against
rights to marry, have sex, & control reproduction.
The heathen perspective is so foreign to them, eh.
And the result being Yankee Christians turning people into atheists, driving people away from Christianity and creating an animosity towards Christianity and Christians that doesn't exist in many places where the Christians aren't trying to force a theocracy on people.
Maybe one day we'll thank American Christians for causing so much resentment towards Christianity over the destruction they caused that they ultimately kill it off.

Replace Christianity with Islam and there is quite literally no difference between your support for theocracy and that of Afghanistan, Iran, or Saudi Arabia.

Religious conservatism has no place in government. It has been gradually pushed out of it since as far back as the 18th century for a reason, and it should stay out.

Can we gather from your post that you'll be adopting babies conceived via rape? (sorry - late edit)

Can we also conclude that you're okay letting women with ectopic pregnancies die?

And yet various major metrics of freedom are directly correlated with state secularism. Conservative Christianity doesn't "bless" nations when it intertwines with its government and legal affairs; it has proven itself a moral and ideological affliction when mixed with politics.

Your imposition of your religious beliefs ends at the door of your home and the walls of your church. They have no business dictating to others how to live their lives. If you really support the U.S. Constitution so much and believe rights not enumerated in it shouldn't be federally protected, perhaps you need to review the First Amendment where it is clearly stated that the U.S. shall not be a theocracy.

@Sir Joseph, there are so many inaccurate claims in your OP that I shall not even waste energy on addressing them in my comment, because it is quite evident that you, yourself, absolutely believe them to be just so, regardless of what others may try to correct you on.

Yet, about below; I truly must point out that - in context of the rest of your OP - it makes no sense whatsoever.

Any rational, freedom conscious person should respect and appreciate this aspect of the decision.

Unless you accidentally missed a few words and actually meant to write: “Any rational, freedom conscious person without a womb should respect and appreciate this aspect of the decision.”

Because if you really are:
a) rational,
b) value freedom and
c) have a womb,
I guarantee that you’ll respect and appreciate far more your rights to decide over that womb yourself.

Wonderfully put. Thank you.

It reads like something right out of a Taliban textbook, and I'm not even being sarcastic. This level of willingness to support imposing theocracy on other citizens in a constitutionally secular nation is downright disturbing. Imagine if someone sought to impose Shari'a on you and that should give you an idea of exactly how a lot of non-Christians feel about the risk of living under a Christian theocracy.

While liberal individuals, politicians, schools, and media continue to secularize and promote ungodly values for America,
In other words, your personal religious beliefs that you have a right to believe, but do not have a right to impose on others in a secular nation. Freedom for the USA relies on it being secular, and free from extreme religious influence as we saw with the supreme court decision. I have no idea what you think "ungodly value" are but they sound like an extreme Christian view that not all Christians will agree with, let alone Muslims, Hindus, jews, and atheists. It's likely your "Godly values" are immoral to many people.

What you think is moral and correct is what the majority see as a threat to democracy and freedom. Thank God you are just a flawed mortal, and not a God yourself. You can admit error.

This ruling will simply accelerate the series of events that will end the influence of Christianity in USA.

I did not give you an ironic optimistic. I truly hope for this too, but I do not see much of a chance for it right now.

Churches were already struggling with low numbers of attendants to the point where some closed down. Considering younger generations' increasing inclination toward secularism, I don't see this ruling helping mainstream Christianity in the U.S. at all.

At least eleven murders occurred in the United States since 1990, as well as 41 bombings and 173 arsons at clinics since 1977. At least one murder occurred in Australia, as well several attempted murders in Canada.

No doubt you don't consider this to be in the slightest evil, let alone "the epitome." After all, what could be wrong with killing those you hate, right?
