Sufism a path of humanisme?

Spirit of Light

Be who ever you want
I dabbled in Sufism a few years back, and it's not really humanist. Its tenets revolve around the belief in Islam that Allan is the one alone that exists forever. The rituals and such are what differ, and what make it more of a mystical ''form'' of Islam.
Yes the mystic is there for sure in sufism.
I do not know what form of sufism you looked in to, because there are different "schools" within sufi teachings:)

Humanistic in the way OP was meant was to say to love every human and be there for anyone who needs you (the sufi) and do it selflessly. Allah to a sufi is found in a path within our own being, and should not be forced on to others :)

It emphasized on studying all religions and learning from all religions, it also emphasized there is a distinction between a non-Muslim and a disbeliever. Not all non-Muslims are disbelievers.

A sufi do not take teachings from every other religions:) there is its own sydi teachings, but we accept that people believe different than we do, no forced attempt to convert them to sufism or islam:)

Tabatabai for example teaches to study religions at a certain stage, till you become convinced of Islam. Also, Ibn Arabi teaches to not limit yourself to studying from one religion, but that all people emphasize on some truth.

And Tabatabai teaches the mystics searching for God in all religions are believers, even if they don't know Mohammad (s) is true.
