I was watching Seinfeld, & realized that I know a Cosmo Kramer.
One acquaintance also tells lengthy disjointed bizarre stories.
Do you know IRL a Kramer or any other strange TV character?

When I was in middle school. My best friend introduced me a person of his neighborhood.
He used to have a very soothing voice...and could speak for hours telling anecdotes and stories, mostly in dialect (which I partially understood).

The acquaintance I mentioned in the OP also believes
that government agents have been following him around
since the 80s, when he made powerful political enemies
by calling into talk radio to warn people about communists.
The government even plants agents in businesses he
patronizes. They coordinate with mobile agents.
(It happened recently at a bank. An agent in the bank
detained him while another agent surveilled his truck.)

Yes, I know a version of a "Kramer". Not so much telling strange stories, but moving through life via a very different "strategy" than the rest of us have.

We are old, now, and I worry for this man. Living as he does. The world is not kind to the old and the weak, excentric or otherwise. But I sure am glad to have had him in my life. God bless the "Kramers" of the world.

This might be too tangential to the thread but what I've always found something humorous about the(deceased) father of my son-in-law.He was a joking-telling 2nd generation Irish American. He never saw a day without his beer. I had a great affection for him and his wife......He worked at Rohm&Hass in Philadelphia,Pa. For a blue-collared worker, R&H was a good-paying employer. Across from R&H was a bar, named the Post Office.......Sam would say." I've got to mail a letter". Not everyone knew what that meant. I did and found it amusing.

My fathers a cross between Archie Bunker and Homer Simpson.
