Straying from God and proof of God

So far, I have discovered that He is more caring, understanding, supportive, and encouraging than I could have possibly imagined Him to be.
Ah! I understand. Wars, criminals and cruel people, earthquakes, volcanoes, tsunamis, floods, droughts, typhoons, tornadoes, fire, hunger, poverty, abnormalities at birth, diseases like Covid-19, etc.

I feel a lack of peace. I feel God’s presence absent. I am curious if other believers can attest to feeling the presence of God.

I feel the same way when I try to quite smoking, only instead of "god", it's a cigarette.

Is that sufficient proof of God?

No. It's rather just human psychology.

God’s presence is something that is felt and experienced; do you agree?

I agree that believers think they experience and feel that.

We can remove ourselves from His presence by our own freewill, and the difference is felt in the heart and soul.

If you believe it.

For me, this is sufficient proof of God’s existence :)

While I see it as the psychological impact of indoctrination

Yes, we agree. Yet I don't view religion as the only form of indoctrination.

I’ve strayed from God recently. What I mean is I’ve stopped my daily prayers, meditations, and rituals. I’ve lost my motivation, which is a cycle of spiritual practice I believe. While I go through this, I experience something that reinforces my faith in God.

Yeah, sometimes I find myself unwilling to pray, or to meditate, or do any of things experience tells me are beneficial to my peace of mind. We humans are naturally rebellious creatures, we love to cut off our noses to spite our faces. We wilfully shut ourselves off from the sunlight of the spirit (not my words).

Sometimes I am angry with God, and I sulk. It always passes in the end, or it always has.

Based on the Bible here are some lines of reasoning for God's existence:

1. The existence of an orderly universe containing life points to a Creator. The Bible says, “Of course, every house is constructed by someone, but the one who constructed all things is God.” (Hebrews 3:4)

2. As humans, we have an innate desire to understand the meaning and purpose of life, a type of hunger that can remain after our physical needs have been met. This is part of what the Bible calls our “spiritual need,” which includes the desire to know and worship God. (Matthew 5:3; Revelation 4:11) This spiritual need not only gives evidence that God exists but also indicates that he is a loving Creator who wants us to satisfy that need. (Matthew 4:4)

3. Detailed prophecies in the Bible were written centuries ahead of time and came true exactly as predicted. The accuracy and detail of those predictions strongly suggest that they came from a superhuman source. (2 Peter 1:21)

4. Bible writers had scientific knowledge that was beyond the understanding of their contemporaries. For example, in ancient times many peoples believed that the earth was supported by an animal, such as an elephant, a boar, or an ox. In contrast, the Bible says that God is “suspending the earth upon nothing.” (Job 26:7) Similarly, the Bible correctly describes the shape of the earth as a “sphere,” or “globe.” (Isaiah 40:22) Many people feel that the most reasonable explanation for such advanced understanding is that Bible writers received their information from God.

*(Almighty God in the Bible is Jehovah- Psalms 83:18)
