Strange offerings

@syo it is an interesting thought what you wrote. Gods being deists. Makes sense that you wouldn't make offerings as a result. I can understand that.

I used to make offerings in the past, and I felt ridiculous. It was like messing with my head. Is this proper? would the god accept it? etc. I was young and CLUELESS a total ignorant.

For me, Deism is the truth. All else is phony.

I get that. Of course I disagree but you do you. I believe that the gods aren't very involved in the human world not really they tend to be too busy doing other stuff like running the universe. But I have no problem showing I care and appreciate their hard work. I do so freely and expect nothing in return. If they wish to help with my spiritual journey they can but don't have to. I can see why someone would say tho that the gods are deist.

The journey is colorful and it all serves the final stage which is meditation. The Gods help by simply be. They are lighthouses. Thank you for the respond.

I consider God as a Holy being. I can never think of offering such strange things to Him. From my religion's POV it would be blasphemy and a great sin.

Offerings to my God, the one that made heaven and earth, ultimately were for our sake and learning and not to give something to God per se. This is why Jesus was killed on passover and rose from the dead on the first fruits. Because it was revealed that Jesus is the lamb of God that saves from death and the first fruits from death, in other words the first to rise from the dead in the body with eternal life. It seems the basic idea behind what I would say are demons is an actual gift in a sense or the idea that there is an energy that some spiritual being actually feeds on. But God needs nothing in that sense, but does rejoice in righteousness and mercy. The material things are meant to demonstrate greater spiritual truths. That is why sacrifice is not necessary anymore, because it was only a shadow of things to come.
