I think it's common decency to feed someone without asking for a return favor, especially if they are hungry/homeless.

I think it's common decency to feed someone without asking for a return favor, especially if they are hungry/homeless.
Me too. The post I was responding to went far beyond suggesting that we should do better to feed the hungry.

They're paranoid that allowing staff to take waste home will incentivise waste. Some companies even prosecute people for taking food that they throw away.Yet, if I or any other employee were to take what we shrink, we'd be fired on the spot. Is that right, or wrong? I don't know, but it is what it is. And people are hungry.
