Five states had elections this month, including our most populous state Uttar Pradesh (Pop. 220 million). The results coming out are as expected.
Uttar Pradesh: Modi's party BJP gets majority. Nehru-dynasty party decimated.
Uttarkhand, Goa, Manipur: BJP likely to form the governments.
Punjab: An upheaval. Nehru-dynasty party which was ruling Punjab, looses ground heavily. A new party, AAP gets a thumping majority.

The margin of victory of AAP was not expected. Otherwise it is along expected lines. Congress continues its trajectory to irrelevancy. Samajwadi Party returns as a credible party in UP. AAP and TMC opens accounts in Goa. We are in the regime of a popular unipolar national party (BJP) with some powerful regional parties countering them.
