Stargazing & Astronomy

Does anyone like to stargaze or dabble in astronomy?
Any favorite star/constellation/nebula/etc?

I've always loved to look at the night sky. The images from space of some of the most beautiful things I've ever seen! I try my best to get all the constellations down, but I'm not too good memorizing their placement
The mythology and lore behind the stars is facinating too.

Yes, especially when I was a child. I loved the night sky. Still do.

My favorite constellation is the first one I learned to recognize (which I did all on my own at the age of four, based on a newspaper diagram), which is mighty Orion.

My favorite star is Betelgeuse. Don't say that three times.

I've been saving for a telescope for awhile now, so hopefully sometime I'll be able to do some real stargazing. To pass the time I'm getting a set of binoculars and using those.

Favorite constellation- Orion
Favorite star- Polaris
(for now)
