What do you think about these types of tattoos, and what do you think their meanings could be.

I'm not sure what your question means..

Do I know what each one represents? I dunno..

I don't believe that tatoos are good though.

Tribal tattoos - I believe it can be disrespectful to have them if you're not in that tribe. Their meaning... usually what initiations one has gone through or their accomplishments, I'd assume.

Unicorn tattoos: Cutesy happy stuff, wouldn't get one. ;)

Star tattoos: Not quite sure what you mean by this one. The shape we associate with a star, pentagrams, star formations, what?

Celtic tattoos: They're very beautiful, and it's said the more detailed the knot (assuming it's a Celtic knot tattoo), the more powerful it is.

Angel tatoos: No strong opinion either way. Means you like angels, I guess. ;)

My tattoo is of a religious nature--my Otherkin-self wrapped around a cross. I don't have a problem with religious/spiritual tattoos, so long as they aren't insulting or degrading.

I want a Celtic Knot tattoo. :)
Ya can't have MINE!!!!

A tribal tatoo is more a style when it's put on today and not generally associated with a tribe or family.

I looked at a unicorn (pink, no less) but decided on a dragon instead.

Escher's tiled lizzards is the only one not specific to me or my personality but I love Esrcher's work!

The Celtic knot is tied to an infinity sign with a tribal design. Both of these are indicitive of infinity or great potential with the Celtic knot a symbol of love (though not in a heart or clasped hands design).

The Yin Yang is a recognition of my feminine side.

Hidden on my hip are elements from my family coat of arms - a lion rampart regardant and a fleur de lilie

Tribal tattoos symbolize membership in a group, family, social, or whatever. At least they used to, nowadays anyone with a cool design in their mind can get one, which makes them more a decorative thing, I suppose. Still, some people have them with the original purpose in mind.

Unicorns have long symbolized innocence, purity, and chastity. Again, though, in the 21st century they are generally regarded more as cool-looking, feminine imagines, and are used as decoration.

I don't get the Star thing, sorry. What do you mean by it?

Celtic tattoos can symbolize sacks of things, depending on the knot. Most often they are believed to provide protection, attract or declare love, or (Surprise!) used purely for decorative purposes.

Angels are new things to have as tattoos, they don't represent anything specific that I'm aware of, aside from a belief in Christianity, Judaism, or Islam. I guess it depends on the context for them.

Hmm... Except for one, I'll try to go with one sentance for each.

Tribal Tattoos
As others have said, loses meaning when one is not affiliated with a tribe, and would look incredibly silly on non-tough-looking people like myself.

Unicorn Tattoos
I don't think unicorns should be tattooed, and I stand firmly on this!

Since they are my first incarnation and thus my spirit animal, I think if I ever got a tattoo, it would be of a unicorn. I would want to make it the kind of design that 'melds' with your body, rather like the one that the woman with the Celtic owl design had done. (The owl's wings 'spread' when she reaches her arms out.) I'm not sure how that would be possible, though...
I would never get a 'cutesy' one done, as I don't think that's honoring the spirit of the animal. It would be more wild, like a deer or a goat.

Star Tattoos
Dom Monaghan has 'em, and I strongly approve of Dom Monaghan.

Celtic Tattoos
Some of the knotwork is dizzying in its complexity, but I think the result is beautiful. It would probably look more 'right' on me, as I come from Celtic heritage.

Angel Tattoos
Can be rather tacky, but I think another design I would potentially like is angel wings across my back.

I don't believe in tatoos because I believe in the Bible- it says not to pierce your body, and I sort of put that in the same line- I'm a little wishy washy on that subject though, because I don't know about ears- mine are pierced, and I did get a tattoo a few years ago and now I regret it.

Where does it say that in the bible?
Do you know the verse, or was it someone telling you their interpretation of a verse?

So you don't believe in peircing, but you are pierced.
You don't believe in tattoos, but you have a tattoo.
hmmmmm.

i have a tip for you though.
You got the tattoo and you got the piercings.
You regret the more perminant decision of the tattoo, however, regret of something that cannot be changed is just a waste of stress.
Accept that and then concider your beliefs, if you believe them because you think you should, they are not necessarily YOUR beliefs.

i have a self designed hyrogliphical style pictoral of the center of my faith.
i have markings of lessons graduated and understood.

Even when people get a bugs bunny *(i don't have one of those) it means something to them, or it did at the time and is therefore representative of them at the time.

No God could disaprove of such devotion to the vessal we exist in as utilizing it how we see fit. Even if that is marking our own history.

regret is a state of mind.
