At times, we get a feeling of low energy or lack of sleep, and some people take this as an excuse to reduce the effort they do at work, at home and in their relation with God.

This is not a wise thing to do.

In your relation with God, do your best to keep a daily minimum of voluntary good deeds you do over and above the main obligations.

Even if you feel tired, don't go below that minimum, as God loves deeds which are consistent and regular even if they are not many more than many irregular good deeds which are not continuous.

This love will bring peace to your heart as you increase in faith and nearness to Allah

If you are really searching for peace, don't be lazy.

Praise God Night and Day

In the Qur'an, Allah tells us to praise Him especially at certain times of the day:

before the rising of the sun and before its setting and during the night
.

"So be patient over what they say and exalt [ Allah ] with praise of your Lord before the rising of the sun and before its setting; and during periods of the night [exalt Him] and at the ends of the day, that you may be satisfied." (20:130)

These are special times of the day when day turns into night and night turns into day, and during night when all is calm and quiet.

The result will be an inner sense of peace and tranquility (rida)

If you are searching for peace, don't forget God, especially at these special times.

Hope ... Hope ... Hope: Never Lose Hope

Hope is life, and even when many things in life seem difficult, there is always hope that tomorrow will be a better day.

Injustice will one day be lifted, so don't give up hope.

False accusations will one day be refuted, and the truth will be known, so don't give up hope.

Be patient, as patience is half of faith.

If you are really searching for peace never give up hope.

Finding Peace in Eid

Eid is a time of year to slow down, reflect on life and find more peace

During the rest of the year, we are all busy with our daily routines, tasks and responsibilities

But in Eid we can take time to slow down and reflect on the reality of this life, on our journey to Allah and the real purpose of our existence

When we remember Him, our life comes into the right focus, and our souls strengthen their attachment to Him

If you are really searching for peace, slow down in Eid and reflect.

Find Peace by Looking at the Stars

Our universe is amazing, to say the least.

One look at the sky at night will its endless stars and galaxies gives us an important reminder of how Great the Creator.

Like a wake up call ...

It is also very humbling and can be a good cure for an inflated ego as we realize how small we are in comparison (small in size, in power, in knowledge and understanding).

This feeling on humbleness with faith leads to peace and surrender to God.

If you are really searching for peace, look at the stars and praise God.

Smiling is encouraged in Islam

Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, told his companions that smiling at others is a good deed, a type of charity

It brings feelings of optimism, hope, cheerlfulness and peace to others and to the person who is smiling

It also reflects an inner sense of contentment and peace

If you are searching for peace, don't forget to smile

Do Your Best and Don't Worry About the Future

This is the core attitude for a believer

Doing one's best, asking God for guidance and help, then casting off worries which prevent inner peace.

Trusting God is a very important aspect of faith, as a believer knows for sure that God wants what is best.

So if you trust God, don't let worries take away your peace of mind.

Do your best and trust in God if you are really searching for peace.

Get rid of anxiety now

To find peace, we need to stop worrying about tomorrow.

Do your best effort then be content with what God chooses for you.

Ask Him for help and guidance, and be pleased and content with whatever happens in the future.

With this attitude, you will find more inner peace, and when anxiety has gone, it will be replaced with contentment.

Peace and best wishes.

When You Pray...

Before you pray, get ready to stand at His Door ...

Before you pray, remember how great He is and how small you are ...

Before you pray, remember all the gifts He has bestowed on you and how little you have thanked Him ...

And when you pray:

Close all doors in your heart which remind you of this world

And open the spiritual door of your heart that leads you to Him

Forget all your problems and concerns

And focus on praising Him and thanking Him and asking Him

And After you pray:

Thank Him again

Ask forgiveness for your shortcomings

And Ask Him to keep you on His Straight Path

And look forward to the next prayer In-Shaa-Allah

Inner Peace Through Daily Spiritual Connection with Him

When You Pray (2)

Close all doors in your heart which remind you of this world

Easier said than done!

Remember that the 5 daily prayers are 5 daily opportunities to connect with our Creator and to find peace away from life's problems and worries

So the input effort you put into prayer will result in a an output of peace.

The more and better the input, the better will be the output

It is therefore in our own best interest to focus in our prayer, and to really close all doors which remind us of this world

Shall we give it another try?

Don't Lose Your Calm

Being calm is a sign of inner peace

Sometimes people get angry and upset in heated discussions on trivial issues.

I was watching yesterday a number of people discussing a number of issues in anger, and the meeting was void of peace

When you are in a state of calmness, do your best to maintain it, and don't be provoked.

Inner peace is a precious gift, so don't let go...

Find Peace in Being Kind to People

The people with most inner peace are those who are in peace with their environment, especially the people around them.

Be kind to others and don't be mean or hostile if you are searching for peace

Kindness can be through a smile or a kind word

Make others feel good with your good manners and dealings, and you will find more peace

Be kind and grow in faith and in peace

Allah is the Source of All Peace

Finding peace in music does not work on the long term. It does not last.

Searching for peace through the physical pleasures of this world also leads no where.

The only real source of peace is Allah.

By remembering Him, hearts find peace.

By trusting Him, a believer is relieved of anxiety and worry.

When scared, remember Him and He will give you serenity, safety, tranquility and security.

If you are really searching for peace, get to know As-Salam,
The Source of All Peace, and ask Him for peace of mind and tranquility of the heart.

Brush Fear and Anxiety Aside

Many people lose inner peace due to fear and anxiety of what may or may not happen in the future

Belief in God means belief in the six articles of faith, one of which is belief in measured destiny.

So why worry about the future?

Do your best, ask God for His help, then relax.

He will choose for you what is best

With this approach to life, one can brush aside most fears and anxieties

If you are really searching for peace, trust in God, do your best and don't worry too much about the future

Peace is the Main Objective of Islam

Some Muslim scholars are of the opinion that reaching the state of taqwa (God-Consciousness) is the main objective of a Muslim believer.

But some scholars are of the opinion that reaching the state of inner peace should be the main objective of Muslims, because with inner peace we become agents of peace to spread peace around us.

A Muslim in the 5 daily prayers concludes his or her prayer with "Assalamo Alaikom" and with this we are expected to spread peace to those who are near us (family, neighbors and friends) , and to a wider circle in society to fellow Muslims, and to an even wider circle to all of humanity.

So focus in your life on increasing in inner peace and avoid all what makes you lose inner peace.

Find Peace in Thanking God

If you want to get closer to God, thank Him for His many bounties

Think of how many blessings you have, (physical and spiritual), and reflect on how Generous God has been to you throughout your life.

For a Muslim, thanking God for having guided us to Islam, and for having given us the Qur'an, and for having sent us Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, are at the top of the list.

Health, wealth, family, friends, .... etc. come next, and if we try to remember all the blessings we have we will not be able to count them.

God tells us if we thank Him, He will increase us, so thank Him for the peace you have in your heart and He will increase you in peace.

Find Peace in Being Thankful for What You Have

If you want to find peace, don't be greedy

Being greedy in money and wealth issues reflects a heart that is attached to this world.

On the opposite side, being thankful for what one has reflects a heart which is content and free from anxieties.

This is the path of inner peace.

So do your best and be thankful for what God has decreed for you.

The Key to Inner Peace

Allah (SWT) says in the Qur'an

"Those who have believed and whose hearts are assured by the remembrance of Allah .

Unquestionably, by the remembrance of Allah hearts are assured
."

(13:28)

So if you want your heart to be tranquil, assured and content, remember God often.

Remember Him by focusing in your prayer

Remember Him by praising Him when you see a beautiful sunrise or a beautiful sunset

Remember Him when you are healthy and when you are in poor health

Remember Him when you read the Qur'an

In brief, remember Him throughout the whole day.

This is the main key to inner peace.

Be Humble: Another Important Key to Inner Peace

The human ego is one of the obstacles believers have to struggle with on their Path to Allah

The process of purifying the soul is a long process which needs patience and perseverance.

And one of the important aspects of this process is to realize how small and insignificant we are compared to this amazing universe. This reflection alone should lead to humbleness.

God does not love the arrogant, and He loves those who are humble.

Humbleness leads to peace
as a believer is well-aware that there is no point in trying to be arrogant, and that humbleness brings us closer to Him, the Source of all peace

So be humble if you are really searching for peace
